How can you say it makes no sense playing England when there are two European oppositions in our group?

These friendly preparations are not exactly like 1+1= 2. No two countries play exactly the same way. Even the Poland that we are playing for Croatia don't really play much like the Croats. It is because they have Senegal to play that they have quickly sealed the deal with Nigeria. The teams that play like Croatia most are their former Yugoslav neighbours like Serbia and Bosnia. Plus even Czech republic.

All those talks of playing Denmark for Iceland doesn't hold much water because Denmark and Iceland do not really play alike. Playing any European opposition eg England for Iceland would be OK abeg.

Besides if we qualify from that group we will LIKELY play either of France or Denmark which are also European oppositions.

So bros the England friendly is not out of place.

Granted no two countries play alike but then you see countries with black African teams in their groups fixing friendlies with other black African teams because playing a North Africa team will not offer much on the learning curve tactically speaking.

All the countries in Eastern Europe and the Balkans play similar style of football that's why Poland is good for Croatia. All the Nordic countries play similar brand of football that's why a Denmark or Sweden would have been better for us than England.

And about France being similar to England I trust you remember when Nigeria was looking over Denmark to you play Brazil in France 98. My point is we should be doing what will take us out of the group stages before we talk of prospective opposition in the second round. A

Let's be honest with ourselves is any of this kind of regular negligence and unprofessionalism shocking To be honest it is not to me.

If we cast our mind back how there was a delay in the accreditation of Aina in his switch over. What was a simple a matter resulted due to negligence in undue delay and it delayed his debut for Nigeria.

The fact that the disgusting act is seen as being Nigerian, and an acceptable norm around here is making me livid the more.

This is a country that is dreaming of winning the 2022 WC.

There should be consequences for such act if irresponsibility if we expect a change.

It could be a friendly for the CHAN tournament you know (speculative) as that may be the only reasonable reason in playing Egypt in a friendly. The statement reads it would span from January through to June. So it could be CHAN friendly as there are no FIFA free window in January for players release.
