kimbraa:you are not her... Simple.. You don't expect someone to judge you by calling you a gold digger based on your assertions on marriage. You don't even know her from Adam so nothing gives you the right to think she is a gold digger.. |

dingbang:Downpour of emotions and emotional blackmail. You're too shallow to comprehend a thing. Have a nice day. |

kimbraa:smiles. When someone writes in an offensive manner to you, you call them frustrated, aren't you a statistic? Think! |
| Re: A Nigerian Lady Warning Her Future Mother In-law by Nobody: 10:46am On Dec 15, 2017 |
dingbang:Of course, the girl is frustrated, and I understand she went through an abusive childhood, and wouldn't add salt to injury. Telling you you're shallow was the truth of the matter and not an insult if you failed to grasp what I said. You need thinking the most. |

kimbraa:and so she stalks.... Continue. Don't worry I am not bitter just the way you are. If there are any job openings in first bank, I would do all in my power to get you on board. |
| Re: A Nigerian Lady Warning Her Future Mother In-law by Nobody: 11:15am On Dec 15, 2017 |
dingbang:LMAO. First Bank errand boy. What job would you give me? Abi, were you told you anyone that works in the bank is automatically a banker?. ![]() SHM. I'd rather sleep if I've spare time than stalk the person on this account. |

kimbraa:Whoa... i thought you'd mentioned you're done with this topic now you're gonna call Dingbang shallow? naaa you are the one making an ass of yourself with your "assumptions". Again i quote another of Ginaz's comment that is applicable here, there is a difference between sounding intelligent and being intelligent. You are far from the later.. |

Organs:It's a beautiful Saturday morning and this topic is dead and gone. Wonder why you're dragging issues, pained?. I don't need a constant reminder of whether I'm intelligent or dumb 'cause I know myself better and it's evident in my input on this forum. Now, fùck off! Haven't got the time to waste on some attention seeker. |

Organs:Let's leave her shouldn't we?. She is insulting her intelligence and she proves it every time. If you decides to put her empty head in a fire, she won't accept her wrongs. Her head has been fried in a oil of inferred knowledge of stupidity. When someone is that foolish, you simply let them smell of it alone while you hold your breath. People like that can never accept their wrongs, not even in marriage. They will showcase their ignorance in a dominant and very rude way. Let's trash this topic, it's past. She's not that interesting. |

Ginaz:She said she is striving to achieve her goals to make life easy for her and her children. What are those goals? To marry a rich man to alleviate the poverty? To make the money herself? Based on that statement I can see how Kimbraa inferred that she wants to marry a rich man to achieve those goals, as the Nigerian statistics support Kimbraa. But Ginaz could also be right. Also she laid too much emphasis on why the mother in law should not disturb her easy life, so I'm going to lean towards her marrying a rich man to achieve those goals. Her write up is very confusing and subtle, but underneath all that I believe is a smart gold digger if you take your time properly to read the write up. If you have a counter argunent, let me know and I will take a look again. cc kimbraa , ginaz |

| Re: A Nigerian Lady Warning Her Future Mother In-law by Nobody: 12:05pm On Dec 22, 2017 |
kmcutez:That was why I initially stated that what I inferred from her write-up is that she wants an already made man. But on the other hand, the girl that has been quoting me and her bandwagon are so shallow in reasoning that theirs stopped at exactly what the lady wrote. Once again, it's glad to see someone who could think deep. |
| Re: A Nigerian Lady Warning Her Future Mother In-law by Nobody: 12:21pm On Dec 22, 2017 |
kimbraa:I've re-read it several times now , and I believe she is talking about the husbands money, so you are right. |
| Re: A Nigerian Lady Warning Her Future Mother In-law by Nobody: 12:35pm On Dec 22, 2017 |
kmcutez:Likewise me. I regret having a conversation with the girl 'cause the worse anyone could do is to have an argument with a conceited person. She has this much certitude that the lady wasn't in anyway referring to gold digging. Unfortunately for her, some of her supporters are know to be dyslexic, and it's evident in their inputs on the forum. Funny enough, where her intelligence stops is where mine begins. That's the difference. A fool thinks she's wise in her own very eyes. The topic has been overflogged, have a nice day ahead. |
| Re: A Nigerian Lady Warning Her Future Mother In-law by Ginaz(f): 12:51pm On Dec 22, 2017 |
kmcutez:You are wrong there. "She is thriving" to "achieve her goals"... (what do that statement mean to you? Doesn't it show someone who is focused, determined and hard-working?) First of all, try to see someone who never mentioned getting her source of income through other route than herself in the first place. Her writing was explicitly clear and direct. It is wrong to think all women go into marriage to live a comfortable life through their husband's wealth. It is very wrong. A very wrong mindset which is so upsetting. I took my time to read the write up word for word and saw it as it is, the message she wanted to passed out and no where she stated she wanted a comfortable life through marriage rather when she gets married, she doesn't want a stressed life. She even gave advice to young ladies to be hard-working in their youth so when they get married they can proved they were once hard-working and so deserved whatever things they can get cos money has changed things for them.( meaning the money they worked for.) she even laid emphasis more on that by saying" the reason men don't want to experience hardship when they get rich same women don't want to either" I do not blame that Kim of a girl, women have so tarnished their image that what is left of womanhood is nothing to write home about. "gold diggers, sex slaves, liars, hungry animals" and so other degrading names are what is being associated with womanhood. Making assumptions to what wasn't included is very wrong. You read subtle indications to her write ups cos of your mindset. There are lots of women in the world who are capable of living expensive lives and do not have to depend on men. Maybe if you would be so kind to change your mindset that not all women are gold diggers and not all go into marriage cos they see it as a poverty alleviation scheme , you would see so clearly what was written. assumptions sometimes do not always end up being right Please read the write up again. Thanks.

Ginaz:What do you understand by the statement below? "Ladies, don't be lazy at your youthful age so when you put on the garment of marriage, you can prove that you were once a hard-working lady, but now, money has changed things for you. I see you explained yourself above, but my interpretation is quite different from yours. Why does she need to prove that she was once a hard-working lady after getting married? Should it not be obvious even after getting married? What does she mean by hard work? Why is it that only after putting on the garment of marriage that money has changed things for her. I think her interpretation of hard work(back breaking housework the old fashioned way due to poverty) is different from your interpretation (making money). A husbands money also belongs to the wife by Nigerian standards. I believe that is why she keeps appealing to the mother in law to let her enjoy her money after marriage, because she has suffered enough while growing up. On the other hand she could also mean, she can afford the gadgets that makes life less stressful for her, so the mother in law should not come and make life difficult for her by making her do things the old fashioned way. Her write up is very confusing. Her command of English is very poor and ambiguous. |

TundeHashim:Which thread? I have no knowledge of this thread and me wanting to give out books. But be it as it may, I'm good. How's Europe? It's cold at this time of the year but bright with all the Christmas decorations. It's beautiful before Christmas. Glad to hear, you are good. |

kmcutez:Without no emotions and sentimental assumptions attached, the writer was simply saying "Don't be lazy so that when you get married( when you put on the garment of marriage), you can prove that you were once hard-working but now your money has changed things for you meaning, I don't have to suffer cos I can use my money to make things easy for myself. having a comfortable stressed free lifestyle after marriage it's not a crime If you read upfront you would see where she quoted and referred to her mother-in-law and I quote" when I was growing up doing all that, (that is, doing all those hard chores and living a stressed lifestyle) you were not there so when I get the money, allow me, hubby and children enjoy it in peace Do you take in the significance and importance of the word I? There was nothing attached, no husband's money attached, no gold digging attached, no "my husband's money" attached. She explicitly included herself in the sponsorship arrangement not solely being lazy on her husband. It shows she isn't selfish when she included her husband into the enjoyment crew. The so called husband you said she wants to eat her money to live a big life. That doesn't sound like gold digging to me. I want you to take note that, in all her statement she mentioned the word "stressed lifestyle" severally. "Stressed lifestyle" not "stressed life". A stressed lifestyle are habits that cause chronic stress and that bring undue tension, anxiety and distraction that does not help an individual to perform and maintain a level of physical and mental health balance. A stressed life on the other hand is one who is stressed with life problems and difficulties. *** With these views in point, we can conclude that the writer is simply seeking for a stressed free lifestyle after marriage, she wants to be comfortable and do some things that would seems so overworked for her in the easy way without being called lazy by her mother-in-law. There is no gold digging involved. Simple! |
