Ihatepork:Hahahahaha Afonjas always looking for the slightest opportunity to compare themselves with the great n mighty ndigbos . Two points to be noted from this article. 1.Ogun is only gaining from Its proximity to Lagos ,Lagos been a no man's land was developed by mainly ndigbos n federal government, interestingly the parts of Ogun been industrialised are more or less Lagos extension.(mowe sango otta ibafo )while places like sagamu ,ijebu ode, epe etc are so backward , underdeveloped n completely unindustrialised . 2. Most of this industries are not owned by Yorubas in other words Yorubas are not responsible for the industrialisation in Ogun n Lagos . If Nigeria breaks up today n every one goes their vsrious ways ,Ogun n Lagos wud be ghost towns. So afonjas rejoicing at the news are just been ignorant, dumb n carried away by their jealousy for Ndigbos . |

| Re: Lagos Real Sector Investments Moving To Ogun State by Nobody: 11:04pm On Dec 18, 2017 |
Ihatepork:Lagos & Ogun states are technically one & the same. Ogun would not get a dime of this investment money save for it's proximity to Lagos state. It's simply the lack of imagination by our bone-headed military rulers that resulted in the present profusion of economically non-viable states such as Ekiti, Kogi, Kebbi, Ebonyi, Osun etc. |

The op is definitely spot on..!! Ogun state is massively opening up as investors are really tropping in to build factories, warehouses, companies, etc. Thereby creating more jobs for indigens and residents of the state. Ogun state assessibility to Lagos State by road makes it even more interesting to own a piece of real estate in this axis. For instance Attan Ota is very assessible to Agbara . Lots of people are investing and buying real estate at Attan Ota. Lands here are considerably cheap, and dry and level. Contact us for genuine lands at Ogun State. |

Ihatepork:This is a Very Good development not in the sense of business moving out the LAGOS area though as a greater opportunity for more IGR is certain to be birthed next year 2018 but because OGUN is actually assuming the status we envisage for virtually all the states of the Federation already As doing that wouldn't only create job opportunities but help reduce the congestion problems and experiences usually associated with the major big, Developed and economic cities in Nigeria as well as also nip in the bud their negative attributes of the said congestion. The case of seeking greener pastures within One's Own country would definitely be a thing of the past like a reference We would like to refer now that involves a friend of Ours who is from EBONYI STATE and when We asked him during the discuss if he would still want to continue with life in LAGOS rather than home? And his reply was in the affirmative of preferring home and that would mean a relocation to the East. We had even talked about this before such that We even gave reference to the SDP STATE SECRETARIAT'S BUILDINGS that were erected during the JUNE 12, 1993 DISPENSATION that were inherited by the FRSC as Headquarters now indeed are uniform structure -wise and that is how Federal presence should be felt and look like in every state of the Federation. We even went extra length to.......................... LIP SEALED PROPHET TB JOSHUA LOVELY UNITARY GOD |

Debt doesn't matter... what matters is GDP/DEBT ratio. The explanation is basically, how quickly can you repay your debt. If you earn 1 million Naira per year and you take a debt of 7 million Naira, you are a lot better than a man that earns 100,00 Naira per year and has taken a loan of 1 million Naira. Please use your sense when bringing up the issue of loans and debt profile... it needs to be compared with GDP. Silly omo-igbo! post=63405392: |

Hi everyone, I come in peace, hence I seek disarmament from the keyboard elite force, First am happy for the developments, However the verisimilitude of these stats being churned out is getting me befuddled, For instance, To what extent was the research in kano conducted, in view to foster accuracy and truthwordiness as comprehensive collection of data. My skepticism isn't borne out of calumny, spiteful scorn nor hypocrisy, tribalistic chauvinism and ethnocentric-cyber armageddon, far from it, Here are my buts, How can such stat not take into cognizance the humongous clusters and estates of industrial complexes spanning all over gezawa lga in kano These sorts of drifts keep giving the impression of haphazardly concocted falsification of half truths, Example in gezawa lga alone from yankaba to gudunwawa to jogana to minjibir to hadeja road onward towards jigawa spans clusters of industrial Parks Lee group alone got almost three clusters, as a single company into myriads of productivity This is just a company, I ain't even talking about other lgas, Just gezawa alone, Even the quackiest statistician in quackery can't be blinded not to see the tens of clusters of industries in gezawa lga Like I said this is just one of the clusters owned by just Lee group You be the judge with an unbiased lens and rate the fabrication christianed stat

My dear forumites, Isn't it discombobulating, of such data, The north we all know aren't loudmouthing and trumpeting their worth within media space, tabloids and cyber, So they share in the blame, But to buttress my Thomasville, Here is another entirely different cluster, totally different from the previous one, but still managed by Lee group in jogana within gezawa lga So I am still Oliver twisting, on the veracity of this concocted falsification

This is not rocket science people! Neither is it a miracle nor a loss for Lagos. When cities grow, the growth spills to neighboring cities and that is what is happen right now with Ogun. Take Abuja for instance, most of the people working in Abuja live in its suburbs that belong to Nassarawa State. this is what happens to every growing city because as it grows, land, rent and other things tend to increase in price, forcing those who cannot afford them to move further from the city to areas of close proximity. In the case of Lagos, where will this companies get enough and affordable lands in Lagos for their business? How will they get the needed labour if most of their staff cannot afford to live in the city of Lagos? |
| Re: Lagos Real Sector Investments Moving To Ogun State by Nobody: 2:17am On Dec 19, 2017 |
arinzeejikonye:Lol! Now ur pulling up pictures from the north, instead of ur southeastern state? There are industries everywhere, it shouldn't be a big deal. We are all still scratching d surface, nowhere is developed yet. If there was resource control, even just 50% of state production, the south south is by far the richest part of the country. Every single person knows dt and can't contest it. I personally think southsoutherners are fighting the wrong fight. Illiterate militants. Clueless leadership. Things dt should even matter to d educated politicians, like Ben Bruce, don't matter. Contrary to what u see here on nairaland, an average Yoruba man resents boasting. It's not a part of our culture, but hey, as long as Igbos keep calling Lagos 'no mans land', the hate will never end, it will only escalate. |

Some ppl don get heart attack over this... The sole responsibility of government is to create enabling environment that will attract investments...it doesn't matter whether Ogun is closer to Lagos...if Ogun state did not make use of this advantage, it would not have been able to attract all these investments. And to the mumu displaying pictures from Kano investment.... What is the economic viability of the companies you are showing? Some of those structures are just warehouses...it looks massive, yes I know...but it is EMPTY! Empty in the sense that the turn over and tax being paid to their respective state government is negligible...1 Unilever company in Sagamu interchange in Ogun state is equal to 1000 of those empty structures! |

I think this report left out one outstanding point which is availability of space. Where in Lagos can you locate a 100 acres factory? |
| Re: Lagos Real Sector Investments Moving To Ogun State by ocelot2006(m): 6:59am On Dec 19, 2017 |
sarrki:It doesn't have to. Lagos has the largest consumer market in the country, and Ogun shares a border with the state. That means close access to same market. I must commend the Ogun state govt for having the forsight to take advantage of its close proximity to Lagos. That means more money in the govt's coffers via taxes & other fees. |

arinzeejikonye:Bro, you have not showed any shred of measurable data or stat to counter the facts presented in this thread. None. Yet you expect to be taken seriously? The onus is on your to PROVE/COUNTER the data presented herein with verifiable stats and data of your own to prove your case/point if you expect to be taken seriously. Showing pictures of warehouses won't cut it. You talk about Kano clusters when Ogun (which may have even surpassed its population by now owing to the Lagos spillover factor) has several sprawling industrial clusters at Agbara, Igbesa, Abeokuta, Sango-Otta, Ibafo, Mowe, Ijebu-Ode and Sagamu. You sound like the one who's biased IN SPITE of an abundance of evidences from MAN. Showing Lee group-owned clusters of probably empty warehouses doesn't puncture nor counter the point of this thread. I'm sorry but if Kano is as industrialized as you tout (relative to Ogun), available and verifiable data would easily reflect it without you having to try so hard to convince the rest of us. Indeed Kano IGR should reflect it coz Ogun is already posting very impressive revenues owing to its industrialized status (even though a number of the new companies in the state are still enjoying tax holidays). The latest 1st to 3rd Quarter report on IGR further demonstrates that these reports concerning Ogun are indeed credible coz the numbers are there to back them up. Compare and contrast them with Kano's: https://s17.postimg.org/jys2u0pgv/kano.png https://s17.postimg.org/ullvzh073/ogun.png http://punchng.com/ogun-attracts-75-fdi-into-nigeria-uk-envoy/ https://s8.postimg.org/8l5o5m7px/oggd.png https://s8.postimg.org/4ar0afnbp/igr_index.jpg https://s17.postimg.org/njnydi1sv/ogunkano.jpg |

janellemonae:How they brandish this stats leaves more to be desired, I chose just a single local government in kano as a case study to disambiguate my stipulations, So that I don't sound biased in my rebuttals, If I had made those assertions without a shred of pictorial evidence, To validate my position, many fickle minds will see them as fallacious, Hope you dig, So I still stand on my position, how can the stat coming from kano deemphasise the obviousity of gezawa industrial clusters, I gave you just a company Lee group, having also three clusters not to mention other handful of coys, So how come? , Was it an underestimation, or omission, I mightnt be perfect with my analysis though, But these things have sticking impressions, if left uncontested. If this be the case for gezawa, what would be the case for the 774 local governments in Nigeria, So you do the summation, |
| Re: Lagos Real Sector Investments Moving To Ogun State by Nobody: 8:21am On Dec 19, 2017 |
ODVanguard:Honestly, You missing my mark, We can bask in the pontifications, and glorification of the stats till eternity, But is that really a true representation of fact, If this stat fails to spread it's tentacle to gezawa lga and all her clusters, then what about the other lgas all over the country with clusters of industries? I doubt if you know ogun more than I do, But you have you crisscrossed kano before? How and where do these guys conjure these stats, Many industrial clusters are even undergoing expansion, Some coys are quietly being established without any media frenzy and sensational razzmatazz Anyway, it's our individual right to uphold any form of believability, But I personally on this, will repudiate this stat |
