What Young And Upcoming Entrepreneurs Should Learn From It.

1. Monitor your money: don’t overlook any bank charges on your company accounts. Always demand that they explain the basis of every bank charges deducted from your account.

2. Get an Accountant/Auditor: they will help you uncover any fraudulent activities from your bank on your account.

3. Demand full disclosure upfront: when taking a loan from your bank or any bank, demand to know all bank charges upfront before accepting the money. Be ready to raise alarm if any sudden and hidden charges start occurring.

4. Demand all terms and conditions be stated in writing: any one can deny verbal agreements including your banker. So always demand for a written document for every terms and conditions or agreements reached with your banker.

5. Demand full payment with 22% interest: in the incident that you catch your bank stealing from you illegally through fraudulent bank charges, by law they are mandated to pay back all the money in 2 weeks with 22% interest. And if they fail to do so within 2 weeks, the law further mandates them to pay back all the money with 100% interest after the first 2 weeks elapses.

6.Do not open accoing with gtb..I have been hearing complaints from friends thst own corporate account over huge debits on charges.

Thanks for your tips really help me am starting a business soon inshaa Allah so it will really come in handy

The Gtb and Innosson fight is a messy one that would impact investor security and confidence in the country.

Nigerians are so stupid they quickly turned this into a tribal war, making the igbos seem like cry babies and the government seem like witch hunters. This has nothing to do with government or tribalism, but is an unfortunate part of business.

However, the government will do well to look into this without siding any wrong party. Their job is to enforce the law and the EFCC should avoid being used as a tool in a business tussle. The government should arrest this issue quickly to assure potential investors that their investment will be safe and secure, without the possibility of banks reneging on agreements, flouting court orders and using the EFCC as a weapon. The world is watching!

lalasticlala pls come and enlighten the gullible folks out there...

Avoid banks my dear ..all the people you quote have investors people who gave them money to turn around .
Rather collect from friends ,look for angel investors but avoid banks at all costs.. I would rather approach a middle east bank and get loan on no interest than ever collect from Nigerian banks no matter how good their terms are

Innoson must really be desperate as to hire a runs girl service for image laundering and blackmail.
Whenever a party cries to the media instead of the court, it is because they have no case.

EFCC tried many people in the media but fail to secure their convictions but it is the
other way round in this case where EFCC remain silent while innoson fights in the media.

Number 6. Do not take loans from a Wayo bank. GT bank is the only Nigerian bank I have never entered. I just don't remember they exist so I have never done one transaction there inspite of the numerous awards they keep giving themselves every year. As a businessman, use your foresight, Current sight and Hindsight to avoid embarrassment.

If no be First bank, UBA or Zenith, I no comfortable

If you have never used GTB why call it a wayo bank?

GTB is on a speed lane to self destruct. As a Bank, this is the most unwise method to settle this type matter. Many companies will certainly think twice before any serious engagement with GTB, even if the Bank is right. The reputation of the Bank will continue to nosedive as long as this case lingers.

For now, it is very clear to all that the Bank is desperate to avoid this payment so as not to go bankrupt. Should the Supreme Court uphold the decision of the Appeal Court, the general public might go into panic withdrawals which may likely collapse the Bank finally.

Whichever way this matter ends, the Bank will be the looser because of the negative public awareness created by the case which the Bank invited on itself. From what I am reading online, some guys are already withdrawing their money to avoid story. The Bank must as a matter of urgency review its Legal Department.
I wish them luck shaaaa!

Their will be no panic withdraw, neither will GT pay a blackmail ransom.
Innoson may think he is winning the media war but he will learn his lessons
in time.

I am not surprised to hear this news. We can all see the detailed account of what transpired as listed by Innoson solicitors.

Earlier this year I was a victim of GTB fraud. This bank wrote promising to approve a higher loan for me if I liquidate my existing loan with First Bank which was at a lower rate of 18%. At that time First Bank couldn't meet up with my demands due to CBN restrictions. I obliged and liquidated my very good loan at First Bank.

Immediately GTB bought over the loan from First Bank they wrote to me saying there was a mistake and they wouldn't be able to keep to their promise and now that they have bought over the loan I will have to service it at 22%.

I was shocked. The only reason I chose to transfer to GTB was due to the higher loan I was hoping to receive only to be told No....we will give u only what First Bank gave u at 18% but now you will pay us more than you paid First Bank.

Immediately several charges were deducted..and all calls and attempts to get a reversal has not yielded any result.

I have gathered all relevant documents and once I am done with my current projects I will be heading to the courts. Honestly I was warned by my FirstBank account officer not to trust GTB as a lot of clients have been duped in the past by the bank.

The fact is GT Bank is a fraud bank. I urge anyone seeking loans to avoid GTB.

Shut up you slowpoke. The runs girl proudly advertises her service on her moniker.
It is a shame that Innoson couldn't hire a proper media manager but secured
the services of a love-vendor for image laundering.

They write 22% on loan paper, tell you how many turnovers you will make on the loan amount per month. And behind the scenes they will calculate loan Return on Investment of 49% and be laughing at the striving businessman.

You must be a poor businessman to not do your homework before migrating your loan.
How can you assume the interest rate a bank offers?
You will be wasting your legal fees unless there was an enforceable agreement where GTB
promises you 18%.

@the bolded, you were doing good until you got here, the same Nigerians you want and desire their understanding of all the points you are have been listing are the ones you are calling stupid. At times you just make your points and allow people to make their judgement but throwing jabs at them will even begin to make one think whether you are truly sincere.

And the same govt you also want their intervention, you have already labelled witch-hunters. So who exactly do you want to intervene? UN or World bank. Let's learn to always articulate our pints without emotions. Things do bad in business just as you have rightly said. Finally let's all hope that the parties to this feud will find a way out. I don't think a huge investment like Innoson can go down the drain like that.

There was noting wrong in RAFIC calling out Nigerians for being tribal and stupid. The poster's statement would not change a thing about Nigerians in their tribal stupidity. Nigeria does not have a government. It is silly to call witch-hunting cult a government. If the government was not witch-hunting with political arm of government such as EFCC, why should it arrest Innson when IGP had withdrawn the application of warrant? Where did the EFCC obtain the warrant to effect an arrest of Innson? Anyway, Nigeria is useless joke. I had always wished it should be disintegrated.

Lol... I think Innosson got carried away by battles he won and forget to choose his wars. Warring Custom and GTb at the same time will be a hard task. Those that think GT image will be tarnished refuse to look it from the eyes in the bank investor...a bank ready to fight dirty to protect their money. War with custom already brought attorney general into the mix, most politicians that could come to help are maybe GT investors. By the time EFCC provide proof of cash exchange between officers of custom, judges and Innoson nobody will talking about supreme court but how to avoid jail...My position is for this to be settle out of court...GT should pay a decent agreement and everybody move on

his grouse isnt the interest rate perse, it was that he was lured with the promise he would get more funds than what First bank could offer, and they ended up reneging on that promise. So he ended up loosing both ways..didnt get more funds and now has to pay a higher interest rate on the same funds first bank already gave him at 18%
