I want to know if Nigerians really get these Skilled migration visas 189,489,190 if they meet up with necessary requirement like successful assessment from assessing bodies,English test and employment because i dont know anyone who has gotten a skilled migration visa.Some people living in Australia already are saying the best way to come to Australia is through student visas and i am wondering why a qualified person will be denied a skilled migration visa after meeting up with the requirements.

Please i need answers from those who know pretty much about this.

I guess so but you cant search via company reg. no on CAC. You can only search via Company name. You can try it. I also tot of that but was wrong after my research.

Go to any inland revenue in your state, talk to the staff, they will calculate what you owe. You can pay and then get the certificate. Do not patronise the touts there!

Good to finally see someone from the same University. I studied Mathematical Science (Computer Option) 2008 as well and I accessed as System Analyst.

That was the same outcome I got, I have my grant already tho (although it’s 489 because of the competitiveness of IT skills esp Systems and Business Analyst).

I think our uni falls under tier2 category that is why we got Associate Degree.

Also because of the “mathematical” part in it I think ACS deducted 3 years from mine. ACS will only acknowledge experience after the completion of a degree so the part time work you did might not count.

You can try and review tho (I did that but got the same outcome).
But to increase your work experience, you can add the one you did after school but I don’t think it will amount to 8years or more.

Please clarify this for me. The skill level for a System Analyst is Level One and it is expected that one should hold at least a Bachelor Degree. But you said that your Nigerian Bachelor degree was assessed as an Associate Degree and consequently got a grant.

Therefore, I will like to know if one can still enter the Skillselect with an Associate Degree despite the requirement of a Bachelor Degree for Level One skills.

Just got ACS verification result and it was not as favorable as expected. My 8 years work experience was accessed as below

The following employment after January 2015 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately
skilled level and relevant to 261112 (Systems Analysts) of the ANZSCO Code.

Do i need to wait till JAN 2018 to be able to claim 3-4Years experience based on this assesment?

They sent someone to check you are actually a staff in the company where you said u work?

I wonder why they do all this for some while for some people they dont.

There's an Australian high Commission in Abuja.

I was told they came from IOM and IOM was writen on the Bus they brought to our office. I wasnt around when it all happened. So i didnt withness it but they show me the pix they took.

That's exactly what it means. If you fill ur EOI today, once its January 2018, the system will automatically update it to 3 years in January.

Yes you can. That is what I did;My degree was 4 years including diploma. So they recognized the degree as an Associate Degree.

If your outcome is Associate Degree when filling your EOi under qualification select -other degree as recognized by am assessing body ( something like that). Got my grant Nov 7 of this year

ACS and their cutting out our experience.

Mine was employment after January 2014 is considered to equate to work at a skill level. I entered the pool in Oct 2016 and by January 2017 skill select added 5 points for me. So yes by 1st January 2018 you will get an update from skill select about an increase in your points if you enter the pool now.

Even though you need a BSC or higher in IT for all IT professions (skill level 1) except web administrator (skill level 2), ASC has however put a system in place whereby your years of experience will be deducted to make up for your lower degree.
That's why if you have an MSC or bsc, the years deducted will not be as much as those with an Aqf diploma or those who don't even have an IT related degree at all.
So yes, your Aqf diploma will work you will just get 6 or 5 years taken off from your years or experience.
