Hello house,

pls I want to find out if it's compulsory to have my both licenses, that is, my RM and RN licenses verified by the NMCN for cgfns purposes or only my RN verification will suffice.

A quick n sincere response will be highly appreciated.

Note, I only have one license verification form printed from the cgfns.

Thank you.

if you have a degree, no need for the RM but if you don't have a degree, you need to verify both license. I hope that helps

Verify just the RN.... our Rm is not recognized kinda bc its 18months except you did the one of 3years..... If you didn't, just verify only the RN.

pm me.
please if you want to register for CGFNS to send your certificate to BON. Do you think it's better to register in Nigeria here before traveling or register after traveling to the US?

Do it before travelling. That way, you can follow up yourself.

Hi all,
I just joined this forum and it has been quite a very inspiring, knowledgeable and insightful platform.I took my time to read from the beginning of this conversation to the last page. A big congratulations to all who have recorded successes in their various efforts of working abroad.
Gracias to @Iyiman, @Endowed, @Auschris, @p406 for all the detailed information. Please I would like an advice on what to be done as regards my case.
I am a registered nurse in this country, graduated in 2011, I have one year experience in a tertiary hospital(LUTH), subsequent 3years experience was at a big diagnostic centre in Lagos. I currently work as a nurse in an outpatient clinic which is not up to a year. I have intentions of working abroad,US, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland cheesy, anyone which turns out positive. I started out with Ireland because I felt it was easier and cost effective. I wrote IELTS with LS8.5,R8.0 W6.5 and an overall band of 8.0. However for Ireland Writing requirement is 7.0, so now I can not use the result for Ireland. I currently sent my application to Avant but got a response from them that my application was rejected because I lacked the 100-bed acute nursing experience and should get one before I can apply.
Please can anyone advice on what I can do. Even if I have to write another IELTS, I figure this result is too good to be wasted and want to try all available options before attempting another one. Please kindly assist with any information on what to do please. Thank you in anticipation. smiley.
N.B I would not mind information on US as well
Dear, pls kindly inform me on any step to take i like to work in Ireland. After acing d IELTS how does one get an agency to sponsor. Also if any one in d house has useful information about Ireland pls kindly share. May the good Lord bless d author of this thread and all those that have contributed. You are all awesome and selfless. Thanks

Register before traveling so that you can trash out any issue that may arise. It will be more difficult to follow up with your school or nmc if you are abroad. And you need to be outside the USA to apply for your EB3 visa

Since u cannot write your NCLEX exam in Nigeria or Africa, u will need to travel 2 the aboard to write it then when you get your RN license, u will need to travel back to Nigeria get your EB3 visa.

I guess there are other short term work visas you could apply for but it's only eb3 that issues a green card

No sponsorship program in Ireland, you register directly with the nursing council. No intermediary, once you are license, you can apply for jobs.
