Good day house,

Will love to hear from the phone geeks, the tech geeks and all. I had a little argument with a friend who believes 16GB of phone storage space(ROM) is not enough, even with SD card extension. He believes a 32GB ROM should be the new minimum plus SD Card extension.

So am asking the house, is 16GB of phone storage space is enough, plus SD card extension?

Looking forward to learn a thing or two from your responses.

16GB is not enough. The system uses about 7GB so you're left with 9GB of free space. If you're a fan of music,videos and installing applications,you will need to include a storage memory card if the device has a slot for such.

My minimum phone storage space is 64GB.

Enough for me, but then everyone has his own preferences.

It depends on your budget.. if you can afford 32GB ROM why not.

I believe 16GB ROM with external storage space is enough for a normal user. You won't load up your phone with unnecessary files.

My phone memory is 16GB and it's not enough as I tend to store many videos, pictures etc

For me, the standard should be from 64GB and above.

16GB is old school in my opinion.

For iPhone users, 16gb is never enough. For Android 16gb plus sd card it is enough for people that don't download many applications, if u don't play games on ur phone (mostly the ladies) then 16gb is enough. Store all ur pictures, videos, movies on ur SD card and the internal memory is just for system files, what'sapp data and the basic apps u need, etc. But as for me 32gb is the minimum so far it has sd card support, if it doesn't have sd card support 64gb is the minimum.

You have a lot of cloud storage for grabs, like the Google Drive that gives 15GB free space, Microsoft OneDrive offers 5 GB of free storage space, Dropbox's 2GB and Box's 10GB. You can use cloud storage to store document, contacts or pictures.

You have a point but right now, my phone memory size isn't it for me.

I don't use all those online storage you mentioned.
Not interested in them.

The issue these days is that most phones starting with android 6 do not support external card integration and in such cases you need at least 32GB

Enough ke? I don't use SD card so 32gb should be the minimum

who has that time to upload everything on those platforms?? 32gb should be the minimum bro.

Well, I use a TECNO Spark and it's 16gb but expandable though

sorry to ask, so you can only media stuffs on external sd card?

This depends on the user. 16gb internal memory isn't enough for me because i love movies alot and i also like having lots of songs on my phone. I dont play games but sometimes i use my phones as flash to store large files so i currently use a 64gb rom phone. But if you wanna get a 16gb phone, here are some of the best 16gb rom phones in Nigeria.

Play store and Google service will take 500mb data storage
Facebooking for 6month will take up 2gb data storage
Instagram let forget about this one
Mobile Browser will take it's own other app wch are necessary will take theirs..
Even if you don't have pictures and video on your phone
Bet you that 10gb giving to you for personal storage
Will get filled up before 6months
Except you will clear cache and data every time..

you should answer this yourself. It depends on what you wanna download or store on your phone. But I can assure you that you'll eventually wanna extend it.

It's no longer enough.
