I can't pay $260 for Helio P23 when Xiaomi MI 8 SE with snapdragon 710 is just $270. This is one hell of an overpriced device that could only look like a bargain in the eyes of an average tecno and Infinix device user.

Where is the bargain?

Bro, the phone is not worth 'sheet'. My brother ordered and was delivered this phone on jumia not up to a month ago and he has been having issues with the phone.
1) Camera: when it snaps an image or photo, it will be clear on the screen but when you check from gallery the whole thing will be BS.
2) Audio: when you make a call, you have to put it on speaker after sometime cos the receiver goes dead
Just run! Jumia says it is past its return date.

Has your brother checked for any OTA updates or searched for the ROM, on umidigi Community?

We have checked for all OTA updates for the product and dia are none at the momemt.

It was later we found out that the phone had issues from many different past users. Just check first before you commit your 89k into an white-elephant product.

Hmm... It seems just the 6GB ram is the major difference. In other words, all these devices are still overpriced though

But chipset alone is not what makes a phone. 2 cars can have the same engine it doesn't mean their price will be the same. The design and other features matter. Because Samsung flagship phones use the highest snapdragon chips doesn't mean they compromise on design and other features, that's why their phones are more expensive. I'm pretty sure infinix note 5 and camon x don't have glass back or beautiful build or 6gb of RAM or usb type c (I may be wrong on this )

Not that I like either but if I'm to choose one I'll choose this one over Nokia 5 anyway. Snapdragon 430 is a baby snapdragon.

I get you. Though with the severity of bugs from all these new-ish chinese phone brands, the price is too much.
