DS doesn't want me to enjoy my holiday in peace. After my last post about having fever bla bla bla on Tuesday. I went to work on Wednesday as the fever had reduced and he was beginning to tolerate orals. His nanny called me and was saying Iya Ife the devil is out . I said which devil biko in my house key? She then said measles,I was flabbergasted...lol. I said but I just left home 4hrs ago,I didn't mind her I came home confirmed it and off we went to the hospital again o. Iam wondering how he contacted it,he has a nanny in the house that hasn't gone home in 3weeks so I won't say she got it from her house and brought it to my house. DS turned 8months on thursday,the stupid thing didn't even wait for him take measles vaccine. He has lost so much weight in week eh... He is much better now o. God will not allow us celebrate our Christmas in the hospital o.

Sorry dear, glad he is responding to treatment. We are also in the hospital for viral infection been admitted for 3 days now. May God heal the bones of our babies. Lo sef just dey give me strong face. It can be very stressful.

Yes you can buy shoes with normal soles, but with flat soles for a start.

I just started buying shoes wt regular soles this xmas, it's almost 6 weeks since she started walking. But I still look out for softer soles even on these normal ones.

I wanted her to have proper balance before switching to regular soles

You can buy shoes with normal soles but not heavy. Be conscious of the weight. You can check early days shoes.

I know MHC should be on right now but my team and I feel that the Xmas prep won't give a lot of people chance to be on NL so we're posting it till last Saturday in January.

Normal light weight, flat sole shoes are appropriate

Hunniesuzie, he can still wear his soft soles ,they are also called early walker shoes.
His walking is just small small waka and not the heavy dust raising ones. He walks mostly indoors where it is clean....right? So let him still wear his soft sole shoes and you can still get dark colored soled ones for him.

Here's another over Ripe Plantain recipe that you must try. Your kids will love it and ask for more. Never throw away your over Ripe Plantains.

PLANTAIN MUFFINS.....

INGREDIENTS :
3 over ripe plantain
3 eggs
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 teaspoons vanilla essence
2 teaspoons grounded cloves( for that Spicy kick)
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
1-3 tablespoons of milk

METHOD:
Peel your ripe plantain and cut into small pieces and put into ur blender. add egg, baking powder, vanilla essence, grounded cloves, milk (dilute with very little water if u r using powdered milk.) and blend untill very smooth. grease ur pan and pour in the batter and bake at 160 degree celcius untill its set. insert a toothpick into the center if it comes out clean then its done. leave the plaintain muffin in the pan untill its cold. turn it out and serve it with pap, tea, or any drink of ur choice.

Believe me when/if there's cause for concern he will let you know. I used 2 hospitals for antenatal and the friendly, gist gist doctor in the other hospital was always confused

Ask any questions you want to, i harassed him with questions when i had them and he answered. The session is fast because honestly if there are no complications, an antenatal visit is actually quick.
