How Do I Appreciate This Man For His Assistance In My Education by Biafrareform(m): 9:46am On Dec 24, 2017
Good morning all.
There is this man in my church who has been paying my school fees since
We ain't related in anyway. He is close to my pastor. I work as a security man in my church.

I told him about my admission and he has been paying my school fees till date. Am in my final year now.

This man is rich. He is a billionaire. Am looking for the best way to tell him I appreciate his kindness towards me.
Your suggestions please

Do you have parents?
If yes, take them to the man's house with the pastor ,so that your parents can thank him. He has not helped you alone, he has helped your parents to carryout their responsibility. I think he would appreciate it .
Make sure you take the pastor along.

When you receive your first salary , pay your tithe , give special offering and give the rest to him . He might reject it , but insist he takes something from it no matter how small and let him bless you in prayer , that will show you appreciated his kindness.
Every festive period , buy him gifts .
Occasionally , give him a call to ask after his families and health till God will call him to himself.

That is my suggestion.

Before Now, how have you been thanking him? Do you usually pay him a visit to know about his health? Do you wash his car? Do you once in a while, come around just to be an errand boy for the day? Trust me, these are indirect ways to show how grateful you are.

If you didn't do any of the above, Hmmmm.. Anyway, don't ever give him a cash gift.. That's a huge turn off to rich men like me. It's an insult. Unless the cash gift is going to run in Milions, then go ahead.

If you don't have such amount, then buy a great gift.. Don't go alone.. Go with a trusted family or friend.. Go with your pastor too like the poster above me suggested. If possible, prostrate flat on the floor and thank him..

Your genuine expression of gratitude is what rich men needs, not money. The manner by which you show gratitude will compel him to sought for another way to help you further, like help you with a job.

Good luck.

Hmmm. I am sure that man didn't snap a picture of you and publicize his charity that's why you are going back to him. If you parent a still around, go with them and thank him.

He did that with heart as such, he doesn't want a special way to your appreciation...
I guess the best way to appreciate him is working hard upon your graduate to replicate what he did to you, to others.

You are right, but taking his first salary to him to take from it would not be insulting , would it ?

He can use the first salary and buy him a worthy gift, but giving it to him cash is something I won't advice. He has the money already, he doesn't need it. If the man is very religious, he will reject it and rather, advice him to give it to God as first fruit offering.

@Biafrareform, this poster has given all the good advice you need. The first salary may be small but it is very significant. I am just glad that the op is determined to improve his life by getting an education against all odds. It virtuous to have an appreciative heart. The op should also reciprocate the gesture to others when he is blessed.

Do something he'll never forget, like impregnating his daughter.

When you talk of first salary, do you mean when I graduate from school and get a better job.

Talking about taking my pastor to thank him, I work as a security man in my church and my pastor pay my salary. My pastor has even dash me 50k once and the man has been doing this without his knowledge. So getting him involve in this won't be nice.

As for taking my mum to him, I don't even know where he stays.
Truth is this man is very prominent. Let me say he is Jonathan boy and Jonathan and some prominent men in Nigeria attended his son dedication. I have been careful how I relate with him so as not to abuse the privilege he gave me. I rareku call him, rather I Whatsapp him.

I wasn't strict when I said taking your pastor, you can take anyone as long as you both are there to show gratitude. Just go with someone he knows and trust.

The bolded doesn't sound nice to me. You mean you rarely call him? That's bad. Although he might not take it as anything, but little things are such speaks good of you. Sorry to say this, you haven't been a good boy.

Calling him on phone to ask about his health has nothing to do with abuse of privilege. Going to his house once in a while to wash his car isn't, neither will washing his cloth appear as such. Where are you getting these ideas from? As long as you're not asking for more money, it's not an abuse bro..

This man is someone who can give you automatic employment if he wishes. That's if you've proven to be reliable, humble, grateful and trustworthy. Unfortunately, you both rarely talk. Which means, he doesn't even know you. All he knows is probably your name and as someone whom his sponsoring in school. I'm not sure If you've even call him this yuletide season to wish him a Merry Christmas.. Have you?

I'm talking from a rich man perspective.. Nothing much you can do anyway, just show gratitude let God handle the rest.

It's well..
