Hi nairalanders,I took part in the 2017 JAMB EXAM and I chose Unilorin,and thanks to God,I scored 291 and 76 in the utme and p.utme respectively but I'm yet to be admitted. Now,I want to start preparing for d forthcoming utme and a friend told me that UI's admission is without favouritism. PLS HOW TRUE IS IT? I DONT WANT TO REGRET AGAIN NEXT YEAR BECAUSE AGE ISNT BY MY SIDE,I clocked 20 on the 6th of this month. Pls note,CONNECTION IS ZERO

yes UI mostly base on merit if you have all the requirements and the cut off mark
mind you don't go for highly competitive course if you can't compete

yeah if u get up to the cut off mark u will be admitted
a friend of mine who wanted to use connection to gain admission last year was referred to the affiliated campus in Oyo so if u choose u.I and u score up to the cut off mark I guarantee u admission

UI is very fair, at least they consider about 80% of admitted candidates on merit. I can also say of OAU, once you can beat the cut off mark for your choice course, you will surely be admitted.

UI is strictly based on merit, last year only one admission list came out and all spots were on merit. I school here and before I came, I knew virtually no one not even in the South-West. Once you beat the cut-off, you will be admitted. But it's very competitive, 16 people averagely compete for a spot in UI. Goodluck�

A school where medicine,law and other top courses admission slots are being purchased like a mere commodity...100k to 300k for medicine slot one person name appearing twice in different departments in admission list all thanks to meeting two or more different people to run for ur admission there..confusion

Where a candidate this year applied for economics but was given civil engineering (my chat with the person's friend on WhatsApp is still here with me.Evidence!! My only regret is that the chat was done using Igbo language I don't know if you understand Igbo)


The truth is that all universities in the east value money more than academic excellence.
My dad would always reiterate this line " If you choose any eastern uni as ur choice of institution, I can pay for ur school fee but that of runz,count me off"

These could have gotten you medicine, law or whatever in unibadan this year had it been u chose her

Using both ur jamb and post utme scores,ur aggregate is 74.37

Medicine 71.87
Law 70.38
Dentistry 65
English and literature 65
Cla 68
That's the courses with the highest cutoffs in ui this year and here u had a staggering 74 which that corrupt uni called unilorin wasted just like that

Once you meet ui cutoff, ur course olevel and jamb requirements, be rest assured unibadan will admit you .
She is not just called first and the best university for nothing.. She has carved niche for herself...Her admission process is clean,transparent and immaculate like my singlet

It's very imperative to state here that ui no be beans too....her post utme na die...ask science and technical candidates this year Howfar with their post utme results An eyesore

You must be under illusion to think that UNN doesn't admit other students that are not Igbos. UNN is one of the most competitive schools in the country and for the past records Igbos have been the highest number of applicants for jamb. Be it in schools in the West, north, south you will still find large numbers of Igbos schooling there, to buttress my point.
Can you please post evidence of where just a student was admitted to the school college of medicine or law after paying such a huge sum? I know students that are from poor family and studying medicine, law, pharmacy and other so called professional courses in UNN. Securing their admission on merit is the deal here... The school is not like your average public school that stress students out with poor utilities.
