Forget all this talk wey una dey talk. Did you see how he forced a save from Liverpools' goalkeeper?

Tammy and Solanke showed class today. They were just unlucky not to score.

The solution is simple. Put me on to plane to Russia.
Na wetin you wan hear abi?

Bants aside, the team needs reinforcement through the spine.

The attack needs to be beefed up.

A solution must be found for Kelechi and Musa's predicament. They must be made to understand they dont have automatic shirt in the team.
If they understand this, they will certainly tast their agents to search for solutions for them this winter transfer Window
.
That is just the point.

Rohr should not invite dem for our next friendlies. By so doing, dem brain go reset.

That is why we need Enyeama and not Uzoho.

Rohr is hopeful Enyeama will rescind his decision so why should we write Enyeama off already?
This is under probability... What if he doesn't... What will happened? Quit and decided not to show up at mundial

We should keep planning life after enyeama... And if he decided to come back big bonus for us..

If we lose, your likes will be the ones to run the coach down. Iheanacho in his last game for Nigeria played well for us. Scored a free kick and worked hard for the team. Rohr despite seeing lack of game time of Iheanacho was spot on to stick with Iheanacho and he performed against a formidable opponent.

Rohr will not drop one of his performing players to suit your narrative.

Lol...solanke stand a better chance of making it into the 3 lions squad...his affinity wit Nigeria is less pronounced moreover he is light skinned......

Tammy has to be super good to maintain a place in the 3 lions squad....

pinnick said...that England never need him...they just had to quickly cap him...

it would have been easy to ignore that mere friendly cap....but his words....the young man opened his mouth like tap and began to pour out empty words....

words that many will never forget....

He should forget about him playing for Nigeria.....it is very impossible....I am sure many fans will skin the nff alive if they make a move.....
that guy(Tammy) flushed his international career into toilet with just one sentence.
''they did tried to roll the red carpet''
what was he thinking, what pains me is the word ''they'',
he referred to the biggest black nation on earth as 'they''
OMG.
I really pity him ,in his youthful exuberance.
was he trying to tell us that he can speak grammar or what?
no respect just because he is an ordinary footballer,
can he invent?

Lol...you raised a good point though...
dude needs a personal trainer....even Christano Ronaldo make do wit personal trainer sometimes....

but few Nigeria footballers think that way....
Hiring a personal trainer would be great for him, he can afford it. Isn't he getting about £70k weekly?

When Mourinho frozed Morgan Schneiderlin out of his squad, he had to go get a personal trainer to keep himself in shape before securing a move to Everton.

Alampasu played against Porto and he was rewarded with call ups and even got to feature against Senegal in a friendly.

Uzoho kept against Eibar and Girona and he got just one call up and played just 45 minutes and you've been crying ever since.

Who's unfair to who? Both of them were called to camp at the time they were because they got some 1st team games under their belt.
Did you read where I said Uzoho should not be called?

Besides, Alampasu was never featured against Senegal and he has only been capped for just 20 minutes despite all the friendlies.

Ordinary Golden Eaglets will be playing and the nation will sit still.

You need to see the thunderous jubilations when Nigeria beat Brazil in 1996. Never seen anything like it since then. An Olympic game match o. Not even the World Cup
the year ladies dragged their guys to watch ball and knew even the bench off hand by name. Economy on standstill as even bus, taxi drivers were forming for potential passengers cos of game time. An era yet to be replicated!! Pius Ikedia(post-Atlanta96), that lived a few blocks from our house was a hero and mothers were seen doing hand over to him with their kids(i hope those kids don blow sha). The only distraction from the pangs of abacha's pain!!

I posted this elsewhere. But since I am looking for a response, I copied and pasted it here....

I may sound a little biased. However, I am an avid supporter of Imoh Ezekiel. In my earlier post, I voiced my concern when I taught he was going to be excluded from the Olympic team by Siasia, after a convincing display during a friendly with Brazil. Ofcourse, he undoubtedly became our most creative playmaker at the Olympics. I watched with dismay as he was overlooked during the world cup qualifiers. Hence, this promoted the creation of this topic.

Guys, I would love your honest opinion on this. What do you think of Victor Moses and Imoh Ezekiel combination on the wings during the world cup. You may rewatch his highlight during the Olympics on YouTube to refresh your memory. I know our attack is one of the best parts of our national team, but my plan is to make it more potent (as to be honest, our defence is very worrisome currently). I sincerely believe that if enough interest is voiced, it may draw the NFF to look more closely at that option. We may start out by trying him out in a friendly match (ideally paired with Moses).
I'm a big fan of Ezekiel. He should have featured in the last WC, he was so good the Belgians wanted to snatch Him away from us.

His move to Qatar then back to turkey hasn't really helped his case.

I heard there are offers from Russia for him, let's see what happens come January.

The only player that can play the AMF is Iwobi but he can't hold the ball and that is why Rohr is STILL SEARCHING for a player who is capable of holding the ball.

Kelechi Iheanacho can't play that role neither can Etebor. Why? Because an AMF must posses the ability to control and hold unto the ball but unfortunately, Kelechi can't even control a ball and he doesn't have superior techinical abilities while Etebor is a direct player. They are both SS.

This is an extract from Wikipedia

'The attacking midfielder is an important position that requires the player to possess superior technical abilities in terms of passing and dribbling, as well as, perhaps more importantly, the ability to read the opposing defence in order to deliver defence-splitting passes to the striker'

That is why you see players like Juan Mata, Bryan, Eden Harzard, Mario Gotze, David Silver, James Rodrigue, etc thrive in that role.

Do they(Kelechi and Etobor) play like these players listed above? I don't think so.

If they can play that role, why are they not given that role in their various club? Why is Mahrez preffered ahead of Iheanacho if he has those attributes?

Funny enough, the new coach tried Iheanacho in that role, guess what, he failed woefully.

The players that can do what is close to those players listed above are Mikel Obi, Sone Aluko and Abdul Ajagun.

We don"t need to bring untested players in a particular role because of sentiments.
You're very right, bro. That's why I keep wondering if some forumites who clamour for Iwobi or Iheanacho to be drafted to the AMF position know what an AMF really means.

Iwobi, Etebo and Iheanacho can also play that position.
When we talk of a quality, tested and trusted AM, those guys you mentioned are not qualified for that role.

* Etebo: He's a player full of energy, he has goal scoring potentials. But he's not a technical player . He can hold the ball to some extent. He's not the type you can expect accurate, killer passes from. He really can't read the game.

* Iwobi: He's a very smart, fast (our team is widely known for this), technical, a potential goal scorer. A good passer. He can read the game but very slow at it. He posses a very terrible ability to hold the ball especially when hes closely marked, thus losing the ball or giving it away by passing to an opponent.

* Iheanacho: A good passer, dangerous at freekicks, a potential goal poacher. But he's very bad at trapping or controlling the ball.
Not a very fast player.
Lacks the ability to dribble his marker.

Agu is not a waste. Is invitation to the team was purely based on merit and well deserved.

Maybe he was a little bit jittery been his first two matches in very difficult and important matches.

Let us see him again in one of those friendlies before we conclude.

Take it or leave it, Agu could be our future DMF because I know a better player when I see one. The problem is he has to contend with 3 informed DM. That's all.

Somebody wey no use National team climb ladder. Abeg, He deserves a little respect.
I'm not disrespecting him.

All our present midfielders are far better than him. That's a fact.

i still remember a certain dude here that all his problem was Mikel,

to him,Mikel is our worst player then,
before the Olympics,he was all over shouting how Mikel is going flop at Olympics, those of us tried to counter him that Mikel is our engine room.
But after the Olympics he was no where to be seen,up till now, that we cannot do well without Mikel.
i just want to see that guy since Mikel started proving him wrong beyond any reasonable doubt.
all these myopic people shouting down Iheanacho, now that he is having bit difficulty in his career, just like the case of Mikel, they will crawl back into their holes, and hide ,or change their moniker,
