Correct me if I'm wrong, I read somewhere that 8 in every ten women get cheated on in marriage. Only 3 file for divorce. 4 try to become a better woman or confront the side piece. And 1 reacts violently to the man (Physically by hitting him or emotionally by cheating on him back). But the opposite is the case for the man.
3 in ten men get cheated on. And 7 out of ten times, they react violently against the woman.
Why?

How many times have insecurity and jealous led men to the offices of their wives to confront their bosses on suspected affairs? How many times have guys denied women of very big contract because of imaginary affairs? How many men have broken more expensive phones because men are all do and women over think? It is stupid when you think a man is allowed to beat his wife until she's unconscious and she's expected to file for a divorce but when reverse is the case he should show her who is 'boss' if she hit you file for assault. Let her cool in jail. Don't take law into your hands. It is abuse if she does that.

Why will you have an argument with your wife until that extent? If your differences Is irreconcilable and then you see being with her as a threat to your health or well being, file for a freaking divorce. So if you beat her she will not nag you tomorrow? Go and ask wife beaters.

You can never be happy with a woman you're beating. I will repeat, there is no excuse for hitting a woman except in defence of life. And if the threat can be neutralized without violence and you result to that, she can sue your stupid ass for that.

People frown on hitting women because they believe women are weaker The only reason people would frown on men hitting a woman back is because they are demonstrating sexism in their belief that women are weaker.
some women are stronger than some men. Some women who are physically weaker still assault men because they believe they won't hit back. I don't believe in violence and I wouldn't strike a man or woman first. But trust me, if any woman starts to physically attack me or someone I love, I will treat her the same as I would any man!
