abfalkolly: Even if it were an illegal refineries, is there no other solution than destruction Now still the same Buhari's led administration is promising to build private new ones from the scratch Then you begin to wonder if this government think at all before taking decisions Of course you are aware that there is short and long term decisions SMH 1 Like 1 Share |

deomelllo:1. You are just shouting misrule, misrule Buhari is fighting corruption, what has/is happening to those who misruled for 16years I will tell you, they are all walking free, even they visit him boldly in the Aso Rock 2. That is the problem he is not even doing anything at all out of 4 years he had, 3 years was used to achieve what Oh please don't tell me that it is too short to achieve something 3. Quit this hate issues and face fact! Why would millions of people hate him except there is something he is doing to attract so much hatred to himself 2 Likes 2 Shares |

doctokwus:today of: While I also agree that @tdayof's submission of Bovas refining their oil and selling is hardly correct, it's important to backup your "in for a shocker" assertion with veritable fact and economic analysis...... Or should we take this as another typical NL "chest beating"? |

lexy2014: Don't get me wrong. I'm not rejoicing. Nigeria is not even 1% close to the country I wish for her. I just believe there must be way out of all this, and we must start from somewhere. I'm not a politician, nor government employer. This is just my personal observation as a Nigerian. Like I said before, we can't be hopeless on every government policy, for that alone is a very big problem. God bless us all. |

Okoroawusa: In simple arithmetic, compare the arrival of Dangote Refining and Petrochemical plant with what is happening in the Telecom sector. When that Refinery comes on stream, the first thing on its mind is profit. The second is recouping its investments and third its repaying its loans in the long and short term. Then things will normalise after the fourth or fifth year. I am expecting the Dangote group to sell fuel at between N250 - N350 in the first eighteen months to enable it pay its creditors. This will happen in the area that it will export refined petroleum products. The government will contribute its quota through tax holidays of five years as it has applied to telecoms and other sectors under the Piooner Industries incentives under our tax laws. Gradually the prices will fall after this is done. |

Nasir123:dangote refinery isn't a govt policy. It is a private initiative. People stealing crude 2 make kerosene isn't a govt policy. Its a private initiative. These are products of govts negligence. so are u going to b hopeful about govts negligence? U have 2 understand d undertones, political, economic, social, environmental e.t.c b4 u rejoice. U don't just take things on face value. D point am making is this, how long should it take 2 fix a faulty refinery that 170million people will now have 2 wait 4 dangote(till 2019 or so) 2 build a new one b4 d country can experience self sufficiency in fuel consumption? Does that sound like progressive thinking? 2 Likes |

Okoroawusa: What is there to explain. Dangote started cement production and ever since builders have know no peace. Exported cement by Dangote himself to other African countries is about half the price we pay in Nigeria. World Average price of cement is less than $5 while in Nigeria we pay $10, i bet you that the price of fuel will not be cheaper than #300/ltr with Dangote refinery on board. Just as he does with cement everytime he wants to increase he creates artificial scarcity am sure it's going to be same business model with his refinery. Dangote isn't a messiah but a greedy man whose riches is built on our collective patrimony |

lexy2014: I totally agree with you on everything u said. But if you ask me,its still going to take some time for us to get even close to what we want. Take a good look at our youths today(haven't realize the kind of leaders we have at the moment), you'll pity for the future of this wonderful nation. How do we move from here, is a very big problem. I share you view. And i totally agree with u like I said earlier. I just want to be a little bit optimistic while we work for the Change we want. God bless all of us. |

Vivere: Illegality or not. My point is,give these guys the license and see what they can do. Stop this "no one can do it except expatriate" mentality. If u give these guys the chance why you do the monitoring, you'll be amaze of what Nigerians can do. God bless Nigeria. |
