I will answer those asking you soon with confirm ratings from confirmed independent unbiased source.

Mikel can't play for us till eternity.

He struggled to play the number 10 role early in his SEs career. It is just recently he managed to play in the AMF.

We have played that can play that role wells. Hold on.
we will get a replacement after the World Cup....the time is too short between now and World Cup to start doing trial and error with possible replacwments

Just watched highlights of uefa women's champ final(netherlands vs denmark)again... dayum! The level of vision, technicality and flair is just topnotch. I love Super Falcons, but we never reach that level. Esp from captains of both teams...

Using false 9 and wingbacks. shuu. Watch out. a friendly with any of these two wont be bad.

And it's sad because either serie A or La Liga would've brought out the best in his game. The pace of EPL games really doesn't suit his technical style, there's no doubt in my mind that he would've done much better in either serie A or La Liga.

So are you trying to tell me that Mikel played up to his potential? See, this is the mindset that makes me crazy about Nigerian footballers.

Take for instance, in Leicester's last game, Wilfred Ndidi had a very good shooting opportunity but decided to pass it up to give a pass. To me, you have to take that shot even if you had a gun pointed to my head not to take it! That's the kinda goal that gets you on EPL archives for years to come. Ndidi has the ability to make that shot. he has scored those kinda goals before. And I can assure you that most other players would've taken that shot. gosh, even the commentators expected him to shoot, but he went to the barest minimum .... the path of least resistance. That's what Mikel game reminds me of.

TheGoodJoe:
“Why put another layer of gold paint on the Bentley when you are losing the entire engine?”... Zidane

Zidane's words best explains my point. People tag glamour as World Class. However, despite the magic in Jay Jay, he did not have that Longevity in the game as Mikel Obi. Mikel Obi's impact is really underrated but if you keep in mind the achievement of Chelsea during his time in the club and keep Zidane's train of thought in context, you will know Mikel's contribution to the team was World Class.

"He's the ideal player to bring balance to the team.

"If the team is not willing to defend well, or hasn't got the right balance, then you'll concede a lot of goals. I think John Obi can be one of the key figures in bringing back that balance.

"He reads the game very well, he knows where the strength of the opponent is and knows how to combat that. He has very good sense, he doesn't do it in a brutal way, he's very elegant. Someone who can defend so smoothly is very beautiful."... Gus Hiddink

Gus Hiddink's words summarize the importance of Mikel's contribution to the success of Chelsea. Maybe, not appreciated by many. Maybe, not seen as World Class. However, that does not change the fact that John Mikel Obi's contribution to Chelsea was World Class.

Finally, an interesting piece of Stats:

Before Gus Hiddink brought Mikel Obi back to the starting line-up of Chelsea, It took Chelsea 18 matches to keep four Clean sheets. With Mikel Obi's introduction, Chelsea achieved that in 6 games. If that is not World Class, what is?

Tell them I said that.

3. Belgium - Pro league
4. Netherlands - Eredivise

Take note that 1 Belgian and 2 Dutch clubs were in the top 10 best in Europe.

The Belgian league was the third best in Europe in 1980 and a Belgian club was the second best club in Europe going by the UEFA rating. This is counters your false notion that it was a kindergarten league as you claimed in the number 1 @bolded.

Another of your wrong submissions in bolded no 2 that the Dutch league glory days was in the 60s, Ajax won their first champions league in 95 and only Ajax was prominent in Eredivise have also all being countered because Eredivise was rated the 4 best in 80 and Ajax and PSV were one of the best clubs in Europe. These continued until mid 80s.

Is the Belgium league still Kindergarten?

Which clubs were rated 3rd and 4th best in Euro? Anderlecht and Standard Liege

They are from which league? Belgium.

Can you see that the Eredivise is still among the top leagues in 80s.

In the space of three seasons can you see the Eredivise made the top 4 thrice while the Belgian league made the top 6 thrice.
Simple question: where are our players playing today?
