OMANBALA1:
You meant the origin of boubou which your tribe named agbada and the Igbos konkosa? Bros, I know your people wish to claim that one but it has root in ancient Malian empires when the griots entertained Mansa Musa with the KORA.

Well, a boubou (or bubu, or grand boubou, or grand bubu) is an African garment worn by men and women in much of West Africa, and parts of Central Africa. ... Its name comes from the wolof 'mbubb', which made it into French, as boubou.Apr 12, 2013
smileysmileysmileysmileygringringrin impressive! Since you're becoming elusive on the reality of the facts & critical questions that stare you in the face, can you let us know what the Yorubas had before their agbada?

I think the bolded text is more direct/specific. cool

Who cares what you had before the agbada?.

The guy already proved his point. The agabda is too ancient and its use is too widespread in west africa for it to come from the SW .

It probably came from Senegal or Mali just like the fulani or jollof rice.

If you can point to any of my comments stating that the agbada came from the SW, then I will give it up.

It appears you allowed your erratic emotions & repugnant bigotry to take over your sense of judgement.

What the other brother of yours has been trying to explain is a common knowledge so I don't know why he's been masturbating unnecessarily. The agbada/boubou is NOT exclusively peculiar to the Senegalese or Malians.

You also failed to address my question - 'what the Yorubas had before their agbada?'

Get a grip ok! cool

Sogrin you sef notice am, our Yoruba agbada with their red capcheesy.

The two don't even match. cool

Omo Òodúà tòotó nimí ! cool
That thing is a Hausa attire. That Yoruba's call it agbada doesn't make it of Yoruba origin

You came to this thread to diss omeruo for wearing a "yoruba " attire and after being put in ur place, you are asking us to educate you on your cultural heritage.

At least, you will leave this thread learning this is not a yoruba wear at all. In your next life, if u see an Igbo person wearing babariga/agbada, you won't say it's a yoruba cloth. You guys lost your cultural heritage to that attire

If you'd presented me with a logical argument, you would prolly have made a bit of sense but your ranting could be taken as an admission of sheer malignity.

The bolded texts above shows how you struggled to put words together coz you felt the need to type something.grin Chai...you yeasterners! You never cease to amaze me wallahigrin. Read your comment again & see if your points are well articulated. No one is asking you to educate them on their cultural heritage, just provide us with the answer on what the Yorubas had before their agbada... simple. wink

Either/not you know the answer but too late to take the bite. grin cheesy

I quite understand how empty pride could override an objective mind, it's a big temptation. If the voice in your head continues to entice you, guy you're on a long thing coz you will sleepwalk into a marathon... you gerrit.gringringrin

Good thing you get it that u had no clothes till north Africans salvaged you.

And that amala and ewedu thing you posted up there is the nastiest ever.
It must suck to be yoruba.
No indigenous clothes, no better food.
Damn
Being in denial is your thing. You sure have answers to my questions but it's rather too late to take a bite coz if any of you daregrin, I won't hesitate to throw you under the bus.

I know you'd be salivating over that pic of ewedú+fish, it's all yours as a kind gesture.

Have fun baby. grin

Your brain must be overheating. Total lack of respect for me & my adorable Yoruba people. Your dirty behaviour will not stop me from accommodating your ilk, even in my impeccable SW. grin
