None of these things are govt achievements. They are things that ought to run themselves under standard govt system. No thanks to Buhari, he crumbled most of them wen he entered power |

Are you serious? Tell me more... ... it's amazing, how you people get to read or hear this stuff "he would turn Nigeria to heaven in less Dan a year" ...in btw, but you actually side with people who could not turn Nigeria to heaven in 16 years! ...the best part u said is that he crumbled most of them, by this I guess you mean (roads and rails leading to your village, the best hospitals in Africa, More than 2hrs of power supply daily, Army road block at every turn you took, food that we could produce here being imported daily, 80% of Nigerians living below poverty lines, Pensioners dying daily on the streets, people working as much as 10 months and not getting paid, and few people making away with the wealth of a Generation) ....if this is what PMB is crumbling, may God strengthen his graces on him ...finally my bro, we they enter 2018, leave the past behind and begin to focus on the positives, just maybe you may see the light! You keep sticking to your "pig and monkey" comments because you lack the wit to augment writeups in favor of this government. How have these achievements reduced the cost of beans, rice and kerosine? These are the basic staple of the common man and their prices have remained up. Pls, where are the local rice? I have been asking rice sellers in Ibadan and what they say is that they have not seen it. Pls, forget infrastructures you will mortgage future generations to build and focus on the economy. When an individual or an organization wants to evaluate it's performance at the end of the year, you start with the targets you set at the beginning of the year. In order words, all the targets APC/ the presidency set into their tenure, if evaluated, we will know if they truly performed or not. Again saying they stabilized the naira against dollar, this evaluation is wrong. The present govt failed to stabilize the naira at 160. They improved agriculture, so many people feel food cost tripled. |

PapaBrowne:I thought I will see a more damning rebuttal in your comments but all I see are just comments full of bile like a drowning man looking for support at all costs. Rant1) This government brought us into the only recession we have ever experienced since 1985. We the people of Nigeria brought ourselves out of the recession Buhari put us into with our usual dexterity and capacity to survive extreme conditions. Feed 1 Buhari did not put Nigeria into recession but the govt of Jonathan put us in. His own minister for finance warned and told us to brace up for austerity and tough time in 2015 when all indicators have shown that Nigeria economy could not cope anymore because of dwindling oil price. If you will be truthful to yourself, some states and the non-viable ones have been having difficulty in meeting overhead payment of their personnel and even Jonathan wasunable to pay salaries and allowances to many parastatal. I'm not fabricating, I know agency he owed 12 months before he left. It was on record that Buhari paid backlog of salaries owed and upset money owed marketers. If economy was robust while owing? Pls provide me and patriotic Nigerians answer to this. rant2) The Central Bank Governor knew what to do all along but Buhari was preventing him from doing the right thing by devaluation. As soon as Buhari got sick and went to London, the Governor presented his intervention program and passed it on to Osibanjo for approval. And that’s exactly what saved Nigeria. Buhari’s archaism is responsible for all the problems witnessed in the last 2 years. feed 2 The goodnews is that you said, Osinbajo implemented the intervention programme to save the economy and not PDP or SAMBO. Meaning it was done by APC. I think that should not give you headache because they are voted together to get the job done. Trying to separate both shows your bias mind over Buhari and make you look cheap. If Buhari does any thing in govt is also done by Osibanjo and vice versa. They are voted together and inseparable. rant3) Best stock market performance indeed. We were the worst performing last year. Let me put it in perspective. Imagine in a class of 30 students, you carried 29th position last year with 10 over 100 as your score on the test. This year you now take 26th position with a score of 30 over hundred. Well, that’s an improvement when you are an olodo. But if you have been top ten in the class with scores above 70 over 100 for the last 10 years, you would definitely be hiding your face in shame. Nigeria’s stock market cap grew this year but it was $80 billion in 2013 and has crashed down to $36 billion as at November 2017. There is nothing to celebrate. The stock market is 3 Times smaller than just 4 years ago. feed 3 If record has shown that our stock exchange was the worse in the world, your like world have been celebrating it. Your submission shows you never expected any good thing to come out of this govt. Those that pumped their monies into stock exchange would appreciate the improvement but you that has no dime kept in any of our bank, let alone buying any share would not appreciate the improvement recorded. Appreciate good thing and good thing you will experience. rant4) When the price of Rice gets back to the N8500 it was in 2014, I will start to take them seriously. A rice revolution that jacked up the price by 100%. Hmmm. Something isn’t adding up. Two questions: if we have increased local production, shouldn’t the price drop radically abi dollar affect the sand used for planting? Secondly, all I saw in the market this Christmas is imported rice. Where is all the local rice. I usually see them on newspapers but never in the market. feed 4 Hypocrisy is killing you. The question you suppose to have asked, you refused asking it. We were told, we have improvement in agriculture during Jonathan's regime but how many of Nigerian products do we see, let alone buying in the market. Thank God you even claim, it's on newspaper you see it and cannot find it in the market. Pls how many the so called agric improvement in Jonathan's era did you see in the market let alone bought. Jonathan govt was still importing rice, toothpicks, tomato paste, indomie and giving waiver to virtually everything there by making our markets dumping place for foreign goods. Today, the in road we have in agriculture is visible to the eye to see. We have seen Nigerian packaged rice. We might not have reached the good point but we're going somewhere. Not the false economy we were told we have. They said they blocked sabotage in fertiliser distribution but the question is where was the produce of the fertiliser in the market? For your info, this December I still bought rice at 10,000 that I am eating in my house today that I bought from marketer directly. Meaning for him to have sold it for me at that price, he must have made enough gain. Right away in the market in my place, you can get it at between 12,000 to 13,200. If you are very wise, you have known that this price disparity is caused by marketers as they fixed prices as they like since there is no price regulatory agency like PPPRA in oil industry. If these our local farmers producing this rice is giving more leap, as time goes by, we shall have food sufficiency in rice. rant5) The Government is still talking about 4000 mw after lying to us that they achieved 6000 mw the other day. We haven’t moved an inch. There’s barely any improvement in supply. No new strategies to improve supply. 700 billion would go down the drain. Whereas Dangote alone is going to put up 12000Mw in Lagos within the next 2 years. feed 5 If you have read it very well, they said they now have a steady 4000mw. The govt was able to generate over 7000 megawatt against your quoted 6000mw. Even the blind testified that there is a significant improvement in our electricity, except those that never expected any good thing to come out of BUHARI's govt that doesn't see it but they secretly enjoying it. You should expect fluctuation in it for now. If Nigeria needed over 40000 megawatt and PDP in their 16 unfruitful years only left less than 2000mw in 2015 but Buhari pushed it to over 4000mw. I think he deserves pat not condemnation. rant6) Paying pensioners is listed as an achievement!! That's a clear sign that there is nothing to list!! feed 6 Yes, it is an achievement because this pension suppose to have been paid since 2000 but none of PDP govt paid it. How would it have been if PDP had paid it before now, don't you think the money would have been used for a more serious adventure. remember that he also paid backlog of salaries unpaid by previous governments and not only pension for BIAFRAN police. I know it doesn't move you a bit so far your daily need of getting free money had been cut off. The first primary assignment of any govt is the welfare of its personnel and BUHARI since 2015 have been living up to this responsibility and also encouraging state govt to do same. Appreciate that gesture and stop living in denial of good thing, it only reduce you. rant7) The ease of doing business part is the only point that might backing. And clearly this all happened in the time Buhari was sick. Osibanjo took this seriously and some results started showing. As soon as Buhari came back, everything stopped. Again, this just goes to show that Buahri is the problem of Nigeria. feed 7 Why contradicting yourself, are both not on joint ticket why giving yourself headache by separating them. rant The rest of the things on the list are not worth the time. As only a shameless government would list such things in 2017 as achievements. That JAMB remitted more money is listed. Not how the money JAMB remitted has been used to improve the education system. That you have taken new loans, not what you used the loans to accomplish. That you are launching a tax amnesty scheme. Can you imagine? Its just pathetic. feed: No one would appreciate a thing he doesn't have. For 6 unfruitful years, your Jonathan's regime remitted pastry 51M. Appreciate what is good when you see one and stop playing politics with it. If you can't appreciate that of JAMB, you suppose shamelessly appreciate that of Customs exploits of generating over a trillion. rant If you notice, there is no talk of infrastructure development despite budgeting over N2.2 trillion for capital projects in 2017. feed If you had read it well, you would see where they said, manifestation of infrastructure development would be seen as from 2018.Digest before replying. rant That is a whooping $7 billion. That amount of money would build 1000km of brand new 6 lane expressway @ $7million per kilometer which is very expensive. Or better still, the Abuja-Kaduna railway is 200km and cost about $874 million. With the capital budget for 2017, we would have built an additional 900km of the Abuja Kaduna type rail across the country. But nothing. Absolutely nothing is anywhere on ground so they come up with a terrible list of achievements for the unintelligent zombies to dance to. feed I would something be on ground when you've closed your mind to see good thing but open your eyes to see only bad and that is why if Buhari build a new house in front of your house you will not still see it. |
