A photo posted on Russian site showing two year old fighter jets escorting Russian president aircraft Vladimir Putin during his last visit to Arab Republic of Egypt.
I don't think the fighter jets will keep up with the pace of the aircraft. What they'll do is circle round and round to keep up. But this is crazy tho. Military escort even in the air. Dope

They will. The aircraft can do over 700km/h and then something to around 430km/h later on while in the Egyptian airspace while getting close to the airport so the aircraft should have no problem maintaining such speed.

Except for the fact that this was a ceremonial escort by the Egyptian Air Force when Putin's jet entered Egyptian air space for the state visit grin grin grin.
The 3 conditions when this is done in the modern era:
1) The only legitimate one - there's a threat;
2) I'm trying to sell you something - i.e. France welcoming Fattah Sisi with an escort of the same jets they're selling to Egypt;
3) I'm a vassal grovelling to my liege - i.e. Egypt scraping before Putin after the US temporarily suspended military aid -as in the pic;
or the pic below: Pakistan bowing to the Chinese Premier for letting them assemble the FC-1 in Pakistan and call it the JF-17.

He asked me to count for the most important military events that happened in 2017 I summarized it in a hurry

(18) the navy has officially announced the establishment of buildings buildings, including simulator, which is the seventh of its kind in the world and the first of its kind in the middle east and Africa.

Would you be so kind to provide more detail on this for me?

By October 2017, the China - Pakistan joint project Jf17 block 3 entered into its preliminary stage .This includes how to draw the design of each system, down to the optimal capability... The team in the picture are the one doing that.

The JF-17 is a joint project between the Chinese and Pakistanis, but definitely not on the technical side.

Pakistan only assembles the FC-1 in Pakistan.

CaptainStephen, I salute you. I also have a cousin that just became a major and he is airborne too, currently serving in the NE. Coming from a military family where many of us have served in the army, police, sss... I salute you for your service to our dear country..

I've been itching to ask why the Nigerian army has refused to use personal defence weapons like the claymore, especially around their FOBs. As you can see from the destruction arc, a single blast can cover almost a 180 degree angle. You can imagine how Boko Haram will feel when they've like 6-7 claymores with more than a thousand ball bearings tearing through them and these babies are remote controlled, so you can pack them them up once you want to shift your base.

My question is this, is there any reason why the Nigerian army has decided not to use this defence weapons or are they tied down by the western policies??

Thank you sir, well regarding your question about personal defence weapons, I will put it this way.
personal defence weapons are key elements of our doctrine however going into specifics like the type of systems we use will get me court Marshalled. I hope you understand that. The nature of counter terrorism ala BH, ISIS and co has been an ever evolving one.

I remember talking about claymore mines, killing fields shaped by obstscles , bamboo pits, mortar zones.....after the whole zone has been charted for mortar and artillery strikes....... wire razor barb wire with empty tin containers tied on them.....flow channel for combustibles for burn zones in the killing field, i really dont know if it is lack of creativity , that when we can the advantage of holding the fort, we will be reduce to sparing with boko haram using the same weapons.......when all you need to do....is lure them into a well prepared field

Claymore is still basically a mine.....nigeria signed a un rubbish about not using mines again,i will advise....they buy thousands of those claymore
Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Nobody: 4:18pm On Jan 02, 2018
even if u guys signed not to use mines

the important thing is nobody is going to stop u for deploying IEDs grin grin grin

we see IEDs from the perspective of terrorists only , but they r employed by everybody , infact they can do the role of claymore , APMs , etc

much better , the triggering and deployment tactics r numerous wink

recently within a week IEDs was used by an army to eliminate opposing hostiles as part of military strike .
