Few yrs from now this group will start having a strong backing and Yoruba won't be able to do much. What we need to do now is to find out how they registered this organization since Yoruba are the only indigenous people in SW, let's take it from there. Also, we need to make them untouchable for our politicians by declaring any politician that goes near them, meet them or receive any gift from them a traitor and enemy of Yoruba and too tainted to run for political office in SW. This can be nipped in the bud right now before it grows into a group we have to pacify and yield to till we give out the best of our land. This is not something we can sleep on, we need to move fast! Yoruba need to be patriotic to the land and stifle anything that's trying to be a drag to our way of life.

This is going on in our region and yet some of our people are still believing there is no fire on the mountain.
I just pray what i'm currently doing spread fast and yield quick results.

The fact that you are concerned shows your great mind and has not been wasted like most Yoruba youths. I really hope it's not too late to start doing the right thing. Friend, this journey starts with you and me. We only have about 5% wise people in the SW the rest are fools. We have a serious job to do. Let's start a movement to preserve our land and culture. Our forefathers left us foundation we have not built on. The colonialists described our land as the most affluent in Nigeria by saying "Yoruba land, the richest and where the money is" when compared with other region s of Nigeria. Yoruba built Nigeria because our wealth developed the oil in Niger delta and the rest of Nigeria. We also had the most developed region during the time we had regionalism, so we have what it takes to do it again. Nigeria has really been a drag on Yoruba as a people, so let's start setting boundaries. We have put up with a lot and literally being walked on, time to turn the clocks back.

The above is exactly what i'm doing at the moment.


The nature of my work and everyday church programmes are hindering me from commiting much of my time to the cause as i would have loved to, but believe me i'm not folding my hands at all.

I've already spoken with some omo onile's, elders, friends and family members.
Some discouraged me, others encouraged me.
Those with different opinions gave me many reasons not to be afraid. But on the other hand, few among them agreed with me. Elomiran ninu won gan ti wa gbee sori ju emi gan lo bayi, and i'm praying that they'll never relent.

What is now giving me joy most is the positive attitude and response i got from some grass root politicians i discussed with in my area last week, they were verry happy with me for showing them some threads on this forum and for bringing the issue to their knowledge. They all responded well and even promised to take the discussion to the local govt chairman and even further. This cause is not about hatred for other Nigeria tribes, but verry necessary to protect the future of yoruba people in SW, especially Lagos, and to let other tribes know who's really in charge. May God let things work out as planned.
