please, I'll like to have everyone's opinion about the HTC One M9 and the Samsung S4. Between these two phones, which one would you choose and why? I've been a devoted fan of HTC but I'm considering trying the Samsung or LG G4. I'm aware of the numerous models out there but I specifically have my eyes set on these three; The M9, the S4 and the LG G4. I'll appreciate everyone's input. Thanks.

LG G4 and HTC M9 are both 2015 phones, why compare them to the S4 that is two years older than both of them? The S6 is a proper opponent to these phones.

Anyway, I'll choose the M9 anyday, anytime if the comparison is truly Vs S4
But if you're looking for a phone with plenty effizy, sensors packed upandan and a eye turner, then go for the Samsung S6.
Go for the S6 edge+ and you won't go wrong. But it's big sha oo if you don't mind.

having used samsung s4, note2, htc m7, m8 (all lost except the note2 which crashed) i'd gladly recommend the htc. but take the LG G4 over all of them. I dislike samsungs when their battery problem starts. samsung s4, htc m7 and m8 na oven dem fit boil beans. the s4 na king of bloatware that occupies storage except you install a custom os. the htc aluminium shell and blinkfeed makes it look and feel premium the s4 is just encased with cheap glossy plastic. The g4 failed to get that wow factor the g3 had plus, its prone to bootloop due to manufacturer's hardware defect.

Thank you very much kingreign for such informed advice. I'm gladly sticking with the M9 then. In fact, I read a lot of the boot loop issues you mentioned on an android forum about the G4. That and the rear camera failure. I guess that leaves me with the M9.

Thank you for the info. I'm actually trailing my eyes on these three models because of my budget. If I could afford the S6, I'd probably just top it off and gun for the HTC U11. Anyway, like you proposed, it's HTC for me then

The Galaxy S4 is outdated at 5 years old,the HTC M9 is a more modern Flagship and all things being equal should be the better deal..

However, if you're the type that drops devices or handles phones roughly, do stay away from HTC and stick with Samsung.

I'm speaking from the following points of view: repairability, availability of replacement parts and post-repair condition.

from those who bought it. from headphone jack to vibrator to other little things. it was not widespread like that of Samsung. check XDA its low on development bcus of this. I wouldn't advice u to get this device tho.

I've got guys using the HTC M9 and no such complaints. I'd still advice OP to go for it or he can still do an LG G3. Its got a huge punch. 3gb ram, 32gb storage expandable to 200gb via sd card, UHD 5.5 display @ 530p, snapdragon 801 SoC. Its also priced reasonably cheap

Even the LG G3 ain't entirely free of hardware issues.
The device is prone to screen issues - flickering screen and dead zones around the screen

you seem to be a huge fan of htc, why not go for htc 10, has all u11 features and better than m9 cos finger print, better battery, better camera, 32 gig internal, running Android 7.0 with 8.0 upgradable.

The only probs with htc devices is over the time, the back camera will begin to have a pink look in not well lited places
