In spite of unprecedented Iranian and Syrian supports for Hezbollah, Isreal lost only 165 souls while Lebanon (Hez) lost between 1100-1300 while about 1 million were displaced, Isreal effectively enforced aerial and naval blockades over Lebanon while Isreal destroyed Lebanese civil infrastructures.

Even though Hez adopted a guerrilla tactics, they still suffered heavy losses. They will never stand a chance fighting conventional warfare with Isreal. The same thing is applicable to Iran.

The Israelis were losing more soldiers compared to the Hezbollah fighters been killed which led to them calling an end to it. Thousands of missiles fired by Hezbollah did a great damage to citizens of Israel as well making them more terrified. A handful of their missiles wasn't intercepted by the US Iron Dome Missile System. The Op was right saying Hezbollah dealt a blow on Israel, they had to call off the war. Since 2006 till date they haven't tried such with Hezbollah again.
