A married woman who's identified as Sadiya Umar deliberately killed her husband by poisoning him, two weeks after their wedding, at Yakasai quarters in the Kano metropolis, and she got arrested by the Kano State Police Command on Tuesday after their investigations.

According to my investigations, the late husband who's identified as Sani Umar that was poisoned, got served by his baneful house wife, and he was rushed to the Aminu Kano University Teaching Hospital, but loses his life 24 hours later, while incurring the treatment at the emergency ward.

According to the spokesperson who's generally well-known as Magaji Majiya, one of the Kano State Police Command Spokesmen, said the incident was made known by three of the late husband people, who were related to him when he was alive.

Rapidly, after the report from people about the negative news, policemen from the Kano State Police Command were sent to the dead person's home to arrest the wife who killed her husband, but as the killer wife heard about her husband's death at the hospital, she immediately fled the house, but later got arrested yesterday, on Monday.

Majiya said the Commissioner of Police for the state had directed that the suspect be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.

The police spokesman added that the remains of the late husband had been buried.
