1. You need to make travel plans. How often will he travel to see you, can your budget accommodate the trips?
2. Will you need help with the kids in your new location? It may seem like your DH doesn't do anything in the house till you're alone, gen issues, buying fuel, cleaning, creche arrangement etc. Adapt to your own situation
3. Communicate a lot, chat during the day, share selfies, pictures of your food all of that stuff. Skype every night. You will need good data (budget that one join)

I've been living this life for over 2 years, it's not impossible to manage

hugs and congratulations on the new job

LadySarah:
Happy blessed week to all mamas
so your sis is in a dilemma and i desperately need inputs.thanks

LOOking at the economy,God surprised me recently with a serious job but in another state on new yr day.Dh and i tot it wasnt real until today i got their message...

The reality just dawned on us;
A case of living in another state(neighbouring) away from my husband.I'll be with the kids though.
Im being unsettled right now even though i've wanted it all along, atleast my certificste will be put to use and i no fit do business atall

How do i settle this?Has anyone experienced this and how did you navigate it?

Congrats on the new job.
I have been living this life for 7+years. It's doable.
Check if the added income is worth the expenses of running 2 homes.
Discuss how often he will be coming, you guys shouldnt stay apart for too long.
Check if you will need a domestic help in his absense.
Will you have some support system where you will be moving to. This is important in his absense.
Invest in calls and data to keep the communication lines open.
Pray about and with proper planning, it's doable.

I just joined this club recently.

First: discuss with your husband. Like sit down and discussssss. How often he will visit and also how often you would visit.
The running of 2 homes would also mean double expenses, is the job/salary worth it?
You would need a help, unless you are extra strong with extra dose of energy, please get a help.

My sis did it for 16years with 5 children. I have been using that to console myself.

Good evening mamas

Please is it possible for a 3months old baby to be teething? My princess has been bringing out saliva and her tongue out.. She's always spiting and trying to scratch her mouth with her hands..

What can I do about it please

My boy is 19months and have not been able to say a word he is still making baby sound.he understands everything that is said to him but have not made any effort to pronounce any word.even his favorite car that he uses everyday is difficult to pronounce. I don't really know how to go about it. I have downloaded slot of speech therapy videos but he is just not interested.

He is the baby with multiple seizures ,I don't know whether it had anything to do with the delay.

I can see that some mama have give their input on this. Firstly, this is my 3rd year in this situation and I work outside the country so I plan my schedule and my leave with my husband every year.
When Baby arrived, we re-strategize because I can’t be flying down twice in a month( not possible) so he has to come
Also, I skype and WhatsApp call a lot
Income: what you are leaving for must be worth it. Think about this.
Communication: Make sure your line is open
Domestic help: I only have driver but scared of helper so I do all by myself unless if my mum visit. But if you can’t get helper.
Visitation: Plan,plan and plan.

God help you

That nutrilac is yummy. I enjoy it too.

I owe Naomi14 and Kelizosuy an apology. When you guys said you were licking your baby's milk, I judged you in my mind like look at this agbayas, licking baby milk..shioor!! Well, now I'm eating my words. Bought this cereal Nutrilac for my baby on Sunday. As it is right now, 400g tin is empty and my baby only ate it twice. I ate the remaining one. Added milk and Milo to it and it has now become my midnight snack. How do I cure myself of this unwanted addiction? cheesy grin cheesy

Yea, multiple childhood seizures usually affect their developmental milestones. You will need to be patient with him. Please see a paediatrician, better still a neurologist. All the best

Yes we have been seeing a paed neurologist for sometime now I even have an appointment tomorrow.
I only realized that he should be making words just yesterday when I saw kids his age talking. I will have to discuss it with the doctor tomorrow. Thanks.

Be patient with him , Ambient.
If he is still standing in front of you after all those seizures, then there's a reason and purpose for his being.

Dear fellow mamas, how Una dey oh
Please I will like to know if you mama still wear socks in the house for your LOs. If yes, till what age do you stop. I am tired of ear infection mbok and I don’t know where it is coming from but my instinct is saying maybe is the socks I stopped wearing at home that caused it.

I don't. I wear sandals for him in the house now, stopped in December during harmattan when my socks started looking like he was using it to walk on the express after 30 mins. Does she put her hand/finger in her ear a lot? I recently picked the habit of washing/wiping his hands every 30 to 45 mins cos I was tired of treating infections, don't know if it's working sha but I'm keeping it up
