On Thursday, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State said nothing less than 657, 267 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) were yet to be collected by their owners in the state. The INEC’s state Administrative Secretary, Mr. Surajudeen Junaid, disclosed in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan.Junaid indulges those who had not collected the PVCs to come forward and receive the cards. He also encouraged Nigerians who attained voting age to utilize the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration to obtain their voter cards. The administrative secretary indulges Nigerians to participate fully in the electoral process ahead of the 2019 elections and votes for candidates of their choice. Junaid also cautioned politicians against any act that would derail the electoral process, stressing that they must play by the rules. He said the commission had intensified public enlightenment to educate the electorate on their rights and responsibilities in the electoral process. https://informationengine./2018/01/11/657000-pvcs-abandoned-in-oyo-state/

With the level of political apathy in the south west, South south and South east, I doubt if we're ready to use our senses in driving buhari back to Daura. The only thing we know how to do here is to sit back behind Low Battery phones and almost expired data to type trash and nonsense on nairaland and twitter. We won't register to vote, after being compelled to register, we won't take our cards. The few that take the cards will refuse to vote on election day. Where as, our Hausa counterparts will take cards for their underage children, farm animals and still come out in large numbers to vote for northerners on election day. Forget online comments and bashing, the general public is not in any way ready to move buhari an inch from Aso rock! Buhari till 2019!! sai baba, sai buhari 11 Likes 1 Share |

Its the handiwork of Abiola Ajimobi & OYSIEC chairman, both of them connived together and denied voters access to their PVC for APC to have smooth ride in subsequent election in Oyo State. 4 Local Governments will be affected the most, Egbeda, Ona Ara, Lagelu & Ibadan North East. In the 2015 General Election, REC spent the election day eve with the state governor at the secretariat Agodi but left early in the morning of election day, we all see the outcome. We need to face these idiots, the only method they use was to intimidate you using policemen but we should know that policemen can never be everywhere all the time. Nothing stop us from taking revenge on politicians & police family members to let them know that they are not the only wise men on earth! The day we stop to fear policemen, politician & take revenge on their families, party members, that day Nigerian shall be free. Even when you dont know where their family lives, their party members are very close to you. WE NEED TO TAKE IT BY FORCE! |

Mine is also there. A huge number of those PVCs belongs to youth corpers who served in Oyo State between 2010 and 2011, and couldn't collect theirs before passing out, many have done voters transfer to their new state of residence. |

It's not only there... I just got mine from Kogi yesterday since 2011 the delay was bcs of School and stuff... Most Ppl might be corpers others work transfer... And seems if u want to Vote u must goto the ward you registered... The stress and all make some people choose to dump it...when I checked thr website for the current location of my Card I was told a particular place but when I got there it wasn't there it has been moved since. Spent close to N500 gan just to locate my card... Its all good though |
