The battery life of my Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon Global 3/32gb has never been this excellent.
Funny thing is that I had same phobia for a while coz I updated from MiUi 8.2.2.0 directly to MiUi 9.0.3.0 and the phone is presently on MiUi 9.0.5.0.
The battery reduction averages 10% per hour. It was way worse on MiUi 8 coz I remember I had to switch on battery saver to squeeze tangible endurance out of the battery.
And did I mention MiUi 9 is way smoother and additional features I can't possibly remember presently.

My calculation was manual, so my battey endurance might be better than yours if properly checked.
And I get something a little better than your present SOT when my battery fall to that particular level i.e. 53%.

And we have to put into consideration other indices that have effect on battery endurance like usage pattern, signal strength, temperature and frequency in change of location.
