9. We demand for immediate disarmament of all illegally armed militias across the country in the interest of peace, security and stability. Finally, we condemn in totality any attempt of branding herdsmen as terrorists as is being clamoured from certain quarters. We view this as the continuation of the hate agenda on our people and a very dangerous trend for the country.
Baba Usman Ngeljarma
National Secretary MACBAN

PLEASE take note of the above statement, doesn't it sound familiar

The people who openly threatened that there will be no peace except the anti grazing law is repealed are still granting interviews and have not been arrested yet and Mr President looks the other way...... Anyway, nothing lasts forever

Politicians are the ones instigating crises in benue!....Ortom is desperate for second term bid, yet he has failed in his first term mandate. There is no road infrastructure to showcase in his first three years; he's still owing workers'salaries despite all the bailout funds; benue does not have functional transport system, it's okada & keke napep everywhere you go; recent WAEC results have shown benue as one of the worst performing, ortom is owing teachers; the state is poor in IGR generation, thank God for federal allocation; benue under ortom has done little for farmers in the state!.....Thanks to Audu Ogbeh who has helped the fortunes of yam farmers in the state!

Other than the anti-grazing non-sense, ortom should come out and state his contributions to benue farmers. Ortom started getting jittery the moment Audu Ogbeh began promoting yam export in benue. Thus in order to be seen to be working for farmers in the state, the state govt had to create an artificial conflict using anti-grazing laws and make herdsmen the fall guy.

Knowing that election is approaching, ortom had to introduce some divisive anti-grazing law to instigate crises between farmers and herdsmen who have coexisted for years o pretending to be contributing to the lot of the farmers! Some people were later armed to unleash terror on innocent people in their farmlands, and the non-performing govt was quick to rush to say it was herdsmen thus putting the whole state in mourning mood just so that the state govt could attract public sympathy and to distract benue people from asking questions on ortom's performance in this first term.

To tell you that the benue attack was premeditated and that ortom is being economical with the truth, listen to VP Osinbajo vehemently disputing that his office was forewarned about the attack by the benue govt; and anyone that knows the VP will know that Ortom has misfired this time and his lies have been taken too far and he should be investigated. As it stands, only the benue govt knew the attack would happen.

Ortom knows the killers of benue people!...Ask him!
So the interviews meyetti Allah leaders granted justifying the attacks, you didn't see it abi? So because ortom has failed to provide infrastructures and quality leadership in Benue, he should also fold his arms and do nothing while Fulani herdsmen kill his people and use thier farm for thier grazing fields abi?

You people can be so heartless ooo. Na waa ooo.

Have you ever warned fulani ppl and their excesses. Have you ever condemned them why it must be them with every tribe that hosts them. Don't you think that they are the problem. Have you ever heard of other tribes fight each other. Do the needful mr president. The agenda won't work in this modern age. It's old fashioned and barbaric.

Story story and story. Don't worry just few months left to the election then we shall see.

Let Buhari say anything no problem. We shall see. Won't say more than that instead for him to apologize to these states who suffered in his brothers hands he is sending warning message of restraint ok nah.

Besides how does one accomodate a fellow countryman who derives sadistic pleasure from killing and maiming him.

President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja Monday met with shareholders from Benue State over the recent killings in the state and asked them to restrain their people.
Buhari, in a statement later by his spokesman Mr Femi Adesina, called on the government and people of the state to exercise restraint following the recent attacks on some communities.
The president assured that all the perpetrators of violence in the state would be made to face the wrath of the law.
“Your Excellency, the governor, and all the leaders here, I am appealing to you to try to restrain your people. I assure you that the Police, the Department of State Security and other security agencies had been directed to ensure that all those behind the mayhem get punished.
“I ask you in the name of God to accommodate your country men. You can also be assured that I am just as worried, and concerned with the situation,’’ the president said.
He said all those involved in the conflict that culminated in loss of lives would not escape justice, including any illegally armed militia in the state.
He commiserated with all the victims of the attacks, and the families who lost loved ones and properties, noting that the government would make efforts to ameliorate the situation of all the victims.
President Buhari said relevant agencies had been directed to start catering for the humanitarian needs.
He told the delegation that his administration had already begun a process of finding lasting solution to the perennial challenge of herdsmen conflict with farmers and communities around the country.
He said the Inspector-General of Police had been directed to relocate to the state to provide security for lives and properties, urging all Benue indigenes to trust the security agencies and report all suspicious cases of movements in the state.
The statement quoted Governor Sam Ortom, who led the delegation, as saying the tension would be reduced with the Federal Government’s intervention to find a lasting solution to the herdsmen attacks.
“We will leave here to rebuild confidence in our people,’’ he said.
The Tor-Tiv, Prof. James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse, was quoted as saying his entire domain had been thrown into mourning due to the incessant attacks.. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/killings-buhari-tells-benue-leaders-to-restrain-their-people.html
But what sort of man is this Buhari of a person?
Why didn't he preached restraint when these murderous herders were killing people?
Where was his voice when these useless devil-incarnates where unleashing terror on people?

And now that they plan defending themselves he suddenly found his voice?

Ortom knows the killers of benue people!...Ask him!
First of all, the VP admitted the Gov informed him about the threats. However, he said the Gov did not mention the specific areas of target. Read the statement from VP's office again. With your half education, you may not be able to comprehend.

Secondly, you are completely daft. In fact, you are one of those terrorist goons but hiding under a Yoruba handle. Accusing the Gov of being responsible for the killings is tantamount to standing logic on its head. Therefore, you are extremely stupid.

Thirdly, you are talking about inability of the Gov to pay salaries and build infrastructure. You should know that, in all these, he did not massacre his people. The people were living and struggling until your terrorist brothers came and massacred them.

Lastly, if you were not one of these beasts from the deserts, you would not be so desperate to blame the Gov for the massacres. Obviously, you are trying your best with your quota system education to absolve your fellow demons of the heinous crime of genocide. However, you have failed just like the others before you.

Now, answer these questions: Who has given your fellow demons the temerity, the audacity, the effrontery and the right to trespass peoples' properties? Who is even forcing them to leave the deserts and invade other States? Demons are known to be desert dwellers. Now, carry your stupidity out of Benue issue. My apology for the insults. I just couldn't hold back. Thanks.

Samleen:
Yes, soo good. This is why we must be careful in the next 2019 general election

For every presidential aspirant, here is our requirement checklist if you actually want us to cast our votes for you in the coming 2019 election.

We don't care about what political party you belong to anymore -whether old party or new party, popular or unpopular; we don't care about what religion anymore; we don't care about what tribe or region anymore but
You

1. Must attend not less than 3 presidential debates: how do we know you're mentally stable and not a slowpoke if you cannot give reasonable responses to simple debate questioning?

2. Must undergo medical qualification tests: both the psychiatricals and others. The result must be verified by a notable medical panel and must be made availale to the general public.
People do medical tests even for secondary school admission, so why not for presidency aspiration.

3. Must have a governing plan (just like a business plan or a master plan) and make it available to the general public through the all the social media channels.
Bank cannot commit their cash to people without a good business plan with clearly written goals and objectives, figures, strategies and a guarantor, so how much more should we commit the life, future and properties of more than 150millions Nigerians to you without a plan.
In the plan must also be indicated your personer track records of successes.

4. Must have more than secondary school education. (There's nothing new about this)

5. Must have at least one of your children educated in a public university in Nigeria (not private): by this we will surely know that you believe in the future of Nigeria and that you will work towards her betterment.
This is a price not too much to pay if you realy love us.
We are tired of insensitivity of government towards the development of standards of educational setup in Nigeria, the strikes and industrial actions.

6. Must be a patronage of Nigerian made products and services and you must believe in capacity building of Nigerian indigenous businesses to provide exportable products and services to neighbouring countries, Africa and the world at large.

7. Must be wide reader and self development enthusiast: If you don't constantly feed your mind with transformative, educative and informative ideas through books, you don't have a business doing with presidency in Nigeria.
We are tired of archaic approaches to human governing. We need mordern, liberated and future oriented leaders to lead us in Nigeria, not power mongers, who just want to be in government for power, fame and monetary gain.

8. Must be within the working age range (younger than 60 years): "what's good for the goose is good for the gander".
Towards old age, people become less and less physically, socially, mentally and psychologically fit to cope with occupational demands, not to talk of rulling a nation of more than150million citizens, so retirement is compulsory.
The retirement age in Nigeria civil service guided by decree No. 102 of 1979 that dealt with pension and gratuity pegged the statutory age of retirement for public officers at 60 years, while it is 65 years for judiciary officers and 70 for academic staff of universities. However with reform of civil service decree No. 43 of 1988, retirement age has been put at 60 years or 35 years in service.

9. Must have no public record of hate speech, tribalism, nepotism, crime against humanity, pending corruption charges or history, and or affiliation with any millitant group or religion fundamentalist group or terrorist group :
We will never ever think again that people will change. Ascenssion to power only gives people the chance to express their true self.

10. Must have done something contributary to the development of your immediate environment: this is simple, is'nt it?

11. Must be well educated about the constitution of Nigeria. We are tired of reminding the government what to do and what's not to do. We are tired of reminding the government about what's in the costitution they swear to uphold. This is 21st century.
The INEC in collaoration with the National Assembly and the Judiciary Counsel of Nigeria should create an online platform where common citizen can get proper education about the Nigerian constitution. They should maku use of shot animated videos and other training material. Certificates should also be awarded.
wow its been a while since I saw a sensible thought and writeup as this on this forum.
I actually had to sign in just to commend you.
if only our wishes and aspirations can come through so fast. these vital points of yours are only what we need and must be embedded in the construction as soon as possible.

It is so sad that miyeti are pretending for playing the victim which is after thought. Pa Buhari wants Benue to stand akimbo while the slaughtered and they must not fight back. Militia by Benue and other states is the solution because sending all the forces to overrun everywhere is to protect the herdsman from reprisals and not to protect any other person.

I hate insulting my elders much more my President or rather the President of Nigeria but is this man always high on kwaya and cheap drugs? We have not heard him tell his blood sucking demons of a brother abi brothers anything about restraint. He killed IPOBs who did not kill anybody and killed people in the South South with his soldiers, killed Shittes but only promised to arrest his brothers . What we know he will never do.. None of them would escape judgement. May their sins not be blotted out, they must all reap what they have sowed. How can someone who is supposed to be a leader have this kind of hatred and not even pretend small about it...
