Applied for one of my sister's, below is her timeline

Application Date = Jan 5th, 2018
Biometric Done = Jan 6th, 2018
Refusal Date = Jan 17th, 2018

The response was super fast. She applied online in Nigeria and also did the biometric in Nigeria but her refusal came from Canadian Embassy in London, UK. I guess the embassy in UK is helping to clear some back log from Nigeria.

Hello experience and gift brains in the house, you all are well appreciated and will continue to gain and learn from your advices to make life meaningful to us who honestly listen to all your advices good or bad..

I am a married civil servant on salary grade level 12 with 140k monthly aside other inflows of almost 500k monthly from my sister in Australia on a business we did together now for 5 months in my seperate savings account
My wife is currently a youth corp memeber to pass out April and she Been to Germany 2012 for 3 month to meet with her dad a german citizen we now have 2 kids together 7 and 5 years already..we plan to visit Canada to meet her uncle who is a just retired Canadian army we plan visiting this April on my annual leave month with our kids..her dad goes to Canada twice a year from Germany and her younger brother..I personally have travelled to Dubai and some west African country on official assignments..I have just finish building our own apartment which I took loan facilities from my office cooperative of about 3m to compete and what goes into my salary for two years was about 70k but now the loan is paid..

Now my question is this if we make this application to visit my wife uncle who is invtiing us for his son wedding and his family union and also my wife father will be there to receive us will our visa stand a chance as a civil servant with the state revenue board and then please what are the supporting documents I need to attach and also the minimal financial balance to be in my account please thank you for any Godly and honest prompt answer before we apply next week awaiting April vacation and office annual leave

grin nice.

Well detailed experience, this will sure be helpful. But I noticed you didn't include the date of your previous visas to guide readers vis a vis your refusals as I observed you stated your trip to Paris but also stated you were refused France visa .

All the same, enjoy your trip to Canada. Am currently in Canada and I can tell you it's a beautiful Country with friendly people.

Well its better off for our applications to be processed in Nigeria or another West African country as they understand our way of life and situations in the country. For the UK processors, its going to be tough because most of the time they will not understand the state of affairs and hence most often than not be biased.

I mean when your application is pending and you make request for your passport. They are telling me it's minimum of 4days.

Apologies for the delayed response I hardly visit NL these days

Oh nice. I was once refused France schengel visa too for not being sure I will leave the member states or isomething like that but when I reapplied I was granted say 9 days visa. I went spent only 3 days and back becos my job doesn't permit me then and I was also writing my MBA exams at that time.Afterwards I've been granted severally schengel visa especially through France and Germany.

Then there was a time in between I applied with my siblings for France and we were all refused for flimsy reasons, I was mad (my madness no reach anywhere o na just within me grin) so I wrote the commission, after few days I got a call form the commission requesting for our passports and our visas were issued.

Am in Toronto and it's nice here , though I be going back to USA in few days before my final return

I think if you have a valid US visa ,all you need do is just drop box.i got this information from a friend who just got his family US visa

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5873E.pdf

CAN+ If you have travelled to Canada in the last ten (10)
years or currently hold a valid United States non-immigrant

visa and can provide proof (entry stamps in passport, proof of the
valid visa), no proof of financial support is needed.

For all others, provide proof of financial support to cover the
expenses for the duration of your visit:
Copies of bank statements or bank book covering the past three months.
Any additional relevant documentation (employment letter, pay slips, proof of pension,
business registration, investments, etc.)

is your friend a Nigerian? Because CAN+ is not for all countries and I do not think it has been extended to Nigerian

Hello house happy new to you all.Mau this new year bring great news and positive result on our application.
So I was denied the visit visa December 1st to go visit my friend and for my holiday cause na just once in a year we dey go leave for my place of work. Was denied under section 16 others :socio economic ties.that didn't make sense me anyway. Well Sha I traveled to Dubai for the holiday and I really enjoyed myself.

Now my same friend is getting married this Summer in Canada ,so she is inviting me this time again.i really need to attend her wedding cause she came for my own wedding in Nigeria two years ago I really need to pay her back real good.

Now to the main advice I need from the house,my parents are gonna be attending this wedding, so I feel I stand a better chance of the Visa if my dad apply and myself and my mum are under him.cause my dad gatz all the documents, heavy bank account, proof of landed documents etc.Pls note I married but my husband isn't going .Is possible I apply under my dad .I just need my dad heavy bank statement and my dad has travelled more than 50times so I need dose factors to cover up for Mee.i am also working I can boost of one million personally in my accnt

Hello House,

I am presently preparing my application docs to be submitted using online route early next month.I went to the web portal and I started with filling the questionnaire. At a point in the questionnaire, its asking if I am applying for a family member. Am I suppose to answer Yes since my wife and kid will be travelling with me,or at what point do I indicate my family will be travelling with me.

Also I checked the page 1 of this thread and I cant find detailed steps on how to apply like other threads.Lastly,I have a US visit visa we are planning to use by April to Newyork and will like to spend 4days in Toronto. Please Can you suggest tourist sites to visit in Toronto.

SeriaBravo:

@SeriaBravo, I think the question reads like this "Do you have any family member accompanying you that you want to apply together with" You have to pick YES, and that will be for your Spouse. Then it will ask again, if you have other family member blah blah blah like above, then you pick YES again and this will be for 1 child. It goes on and on if you have more children coming with you. After choosing for all, then you will say NO when asked again if you still have other family member.

Please use google for tourist sites in Toronto. You have the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, Niagara falls etc etc.

Best of luck with your application.
