Seniors, plz help provide answers to my Q

How long does it take for CIC to acknowledge receipt of application I.e d interval btw application submission and AOR?

I want to believe once one receives AOR dat is when one's application is locked in? Or is it locked on submission date?

Working on things so I don't lose 5 points to my birthday!

I got AoR after submission of application in less than 24 hours.
Yes, once you receive AoR, your application is locked in.

Hi, i have a birth certificate but the names on it do not exactly match. I have been using 3 names on all my documents but my birth certificate has more than 3 names are names which are variants of the names on the birth certificate:

See below:
Name on birth certificate: Deborah Oluwasunkanmi Oluwaserefunmi George
Name on all documents: Debra Sunkanmi George
I need this certificate to claim points for sibling in Canada, will this name differences pose a challenge? Can anyone please advise on how to go about this scenario

I simply used one of the templates I got from the links on page zero of this page. The deed was notarised but we got the person notarising it to take a look at it first. He didn't charge us extra for this service. Made a few amendments based on the notary's recommendation and went back to notarise it. I do know that some people do not notarise theirs and it still flew.

You can do an affidavit (one and same person affidavit). Kontagious posted a sample here.

1. Your scores are locked in first after ITA, then after you submit your e-application. You can however change few details by raising CSE after submission.

2. Your scores are locked in once you receive your ITA. If there are changes, afterwards, you are advised to first recalculate your MEC for your eligibility and then recalculate your CRS to see if it did not drop below the minimum CRS for which you were invited.

Age is however exempt. It is locked in at ITA and should your age drop before you submit your application, it will not affect your application. Scroll to the end of this page

Working on things so I don't lose 5 points to my birthday!

You will not lose points if your birthday comes after you receive an ITA or before you submit eAPR. See the exemption clause below:

Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA
An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.
When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.
This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR.

Thanks happytbaby, See what I mean please. I have tried as you said, but it still cuts off. The 1st picture is showing the "Alagbon Lagos" cut off at the bottom while the second is showing the little finger print cut off a bit from the right. Is any of them ok to use like that? Thanks.
happytbaby:
@ Smileymum, another option is to place it on the scanner such that the white place at the top is slightly out of the range, thus creating more space at the bottom.

Okay, try the phone scanner, it is very easy, you can download 'jetscanner lite', if you find it difficult, respond to the email you sent me yesterday
Cheers.
