They nearly did it to me around Ladipo market area, the conductor put me in the front seat with one mumu guy like that (I was sitting at the door side), while the bus was moving the conductor tried shutting the door well but it wasn't closing, so he told me to hold that stuff you pull when you want to open a vehicle's door, I did and he was trying to still shut the door. Meanwhile while he was busy with what he was doing, the guy beside me was trying to pull out my phone which he succeeded in doing but dropped it on the chair and used the small bag he was with to cover the phone. As we were going the driver now asked where I was going to, I told him and he was like they're not going towards that direction, so as I was about to alight from the bus I just touched my pocket, didn't see my phone, turned and saw my phone almost covered by the bag and just grabbed it. Omo nobody told me to be vigilant next time.

FACT!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially now that election year is around the corner. A female friend of mine was saved from entering one last week. She got to the wetheral bus stop by Aba road waiting to board a cab.

While standing, the touts at that bus stop were teasing her calling her fine girl. She just smiled at them and kept mute. A cab came along and she ran to board it and the occupants opened the door for her to enter, only for the touts to run after her shouting in Igbo language: " Fine girl no enter oh, it's one chance oh" and the cab zoomed off with their door still opened. If not for those touts, or if she had insulted them, they would have left her to her fate.

Still same last week, a man was chased down, caught and beaten to death at No 2 bus stop Naze / Aba road Owerri. He was alleged to be a member of the "One Chance crew." His accomplices escaped.

not only in owerri even in abuja here , i was rubbed of my sweet Z10 in appril last year with that first trick.
there is another popular trick known to almost every residents in abuja,
the moment you enter their taxi, they will be telling you that there is 1million dollar in the boot belonging to one of the passenger, the driver will claim innocent by trying to involve police and the said owner will start begging then he (said owner)will offer share of the money to the whole passemgers including the driver,another story will surly comes up, pls stop the vehicle and run the moment you observe this,they wont hurt you for doing so but quickly discern yourself from the vehicle coz if u dont ,the next film may not be too good.

I remember one night i entered a taxi filled with all men, as soon as i closed the door i looked round and it occured to me that i will get robbed if i didnt act fast, first thing i did was i brought out my packet of cigarette from my pocket and put one stick in my mouth without lighting it and i pretended to be on the phone with my guy using all the cult slangs i know in this life, i noticed they all relaxed and knew i now had the upperhand so i decided to establish my authority by shouting at the driver with my deepest voice "You dey crase you nor go reduce that radio!!" ironically when we got to my destination the driver did not even collect money, he just said "carry your problem go"!

It nearly happened to me 2 weeks ago.
Luckily for me, de black cab driver noticed them and he sent them down from the cab.
It would have been 4 pick pockets against 2 real passengers and the innocent driver.
We should all be careful

There is very low crime rate in Owerri and you are trying to create an impression for a reason I don't know. One of the advantages of the ban of keke is the reduction in one chance but you seem to claim it's rather on the rise all in a bid to prove keke is better than taxi.

In Port Harcourt almost the entire taxi is unpainted and unregistered with much higher rate of one-chance but it is no news.
