If we don't let go of our hatred we will not make progress. This government is having too many on her hand today because he refused to let go. Dfire: 124 Likes 4 Shares |

Jonathan did so because of his relationship with IBO's .if its this present administration he die ? The family will buried their corpse. Ojukwu don't deserve state burial. 41 Likes 1 Share |

Igbos:The more reason why they should spit at his grave, are you kidding me millions of people died because of him, the amnesty was more than enough, but a befitting burial? They just crossed the line of logic 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Jonathan obviously did it to appease his Igbo backbone that still crumbled when met by the full weight of the country. If he had died under Obasanjo or Yar 'Adua, he would have been buried by only his family. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Dfire:shows how little u know of history first of ojukwu did nor start any war. if u have read books u would know that after the north killed senslessly and were forced to stay in nigeria by the brits and northern civil servants the soldiers(murtala mohammed who was for secession said so himself)knew that war was inevitable 2 failure to implement the aburi accord and growing anger amongst igbos pushed ojukwu who was mandated by his people to secede ojukwu NEVER declared biafra on his own 3 Ojukwu was Eastern region governor at the time pretty sure that gets u a state burial so next time research btw ojukwu died years ago why not focus on the present? 162 Likes 20 Shares |

Dfire: Before you start this sort of thread, you should go and read more of Nigeria's history, particularly that of Ojukwu. Who told you that Ojukwu hated Nigeria? Ojukwu was only fighting to defend his people against Hausa-Fulani hegemony. Ojukwu did all he could to keep Nigeria one and avoid war. He even went to Ghana to sign an agreement so that there would be peace. However, the Northern government of Gowon decided not to keep to the agreement signed in Ghana and Ojukwu was left with no choice but to declare the independence of his people and fight for freedom. Ojukwu was never the problem, Nigeria was always the problem. Mandela was once regarded as the number one terrorist of south Africa. But history later vindicted him and he was also given a state burial 134 Likes 9 Shares |

zendy:All this one is just trade language, he led a war for three years millions of people died even those in asaba who tried to surrender were dealt with but Ojukwu the LEADER granted immediate amnesty okay we can tolerate that but buried with military honors there were Biafran ex soldiers at that funeral they didn't even touch the coffin and all that talk about Mandela this is Nigeria not South Africa you can't kill the pawn and spare the king 5 Likes 2 Shares |

The federal government then wanted to create an impression that Ojukwu died a Nigerian, hence decided to hijack the process from MASSOB, who was putting an arrangement to take care of the burial. With interest of some African leader to grace the occassion, government has to do their usual magic to stop MASSOB and took over the burial. I know the Op knows all these but as a paid agent to distract people from Benue massacre, he has to earn his pay 81 Likes 9 Shares |

udokpuenyi:typical ipobian response Ojukwu has always been a Nigerian can't you see that he was ordered by Gowon to start the Biafra war he was very good he pretended to defend you while all he did was give Nigeria a very good opportunity to finish you, that's why he was granted amnesty that's why they buried him with military honors a good soldier who followed orders....
