That man Ojukwu was a very selfish and wicked human.. He took his own family to safety in Abidjan and left millions of his people to die in a needless war he started. Whenever I see those gory kwashiorkor and starvation pics of Igbo kids and women. I feel nothing but pity for them. Yet they hold the simpleton in high regard 2 Likes |

The more reason why they should spit at his grave, are you kidding me millions of people died because of him, the amnesty was more than enough, but a befitting burial? They just crossed the line of logic the burial has happened and you cannot recall it not to happened otherwise you should go and hug transformer next to you with your nonsense hatred. 1 Like |

This Dfire guy is just here displaying ignorance and stupidity combined. What do you know about military and governance? If Major Kaduna Nzeogwu was given a befitting burial by Nigeria when his body was discovered at the initial stage of the war, why not Ojukwu. If you know nothing, try to read. History is written for the new generation to know what happened. All of you will just come online to call names and spew rubbish. I bet if you read books on the biafran way(by Obasanjo, Frederick Forsyth, Ojukwu, and others) you will hv a different view about this whole thing?. 2 Likes |

Dfire: Your speech is full of ignorance and hate! Osama Bin Laden was reportedly buried in accordance with muslim rites by the same people who hunted him. Soldiers and officers are giving military parade burial even if they were captured as saboteurs or war prisoners. Ojukwu was a general in the nigerian army and recieved pension till death. Ojukwu was the prime minister of the entire eastern region. He is a decorated man in battle. Biafra was annexed back into nigeria and recieved amnesty under no victor no vanquished decree. Therefore his gallantry remains part of nigeria's history and Ojukwu remains a veteran of nigerian army. In life there is no permanent friend, no permanent enemy! LEADING A BREAK AWAY AND PLAYING A MASSIVE ROLE IN PEACEFUL REUNIFICATION BY SURRENDERING AND TOTALLY ABANDONING WAR CRIES INSTEAD EMBRACING DEMOCRACY AND LEADING A CHARGE TOWARDS POLICTICAL PARTICIPATION DESERVES MORE THAN STATE BURIAL! 6 Likes |

Dfire: Mr Man, Ojukwu was a respected Nigerian Soldier, and his exile during the civil war paved way for reconciliation ( the exile was part of the deal anyways) . And if you got a problem with that , anytime your d^d dies, I just hope boys scout or Fire service will give him a befitting burial. Idiats everywhere 2 Likes |

Threads like this that divide us shouldnt be pushed to FP. Whether OP agrees it or not, ojukwu is respected by every igbo man. Even if he wasnt given a state burial, he would also have received a flamboyant burial. Lets talk about how Nigeria will move forward and stop talking about what happened years ago. 3 Likes |

Hmmm.... There’s a certain kolanut you can eat. It’ll take you back to the past. So you can rewrite it. I’m sure instead to preventing the Nigerian Civil War, you’d rather prevent Ojukwu from having a state burial. Kontinu. Dfire: 1 Like |

Dfire: Because he was a true Nigerian, A patriot, who fought against injustices, subjugation and inequality A detribalized Nigerian He was a Nigerian before he became an Igbo man Because even those that fought him knew he was right I can list more reasons...... Remember, some who claimed to be Nigeria then are today fighting only for the interest of their region at the detriment of others 3 Likes |
