need advice. My baby is 4 weeks old and just a few days (3) ago i started noticing a rise in temperature. I took his temperature (armpit) 36.8. Mouth, 37.1 and the next day from the anus, 37.3. No vomiting, regular stooling and everything seems normal but the temperature. Should i be getting worked up?

welcome and congrats on your baby. Its still within range, I think it's from 37.5 or so that you should be very concerned and take baby to the hospital asap.

Meanwhile just dab with wet tepid water and don't over layer him with clothing.

Mamas, am not very happy o
See as my child has been crying since morning because of circumcision. I dont know what to do to help him.
Wo i no go shame to say i was crying like a baby when he was crying at the clinic today. God! na so the thing dey pain?
What can i do to ease his pain plz?

Welcome to motherhood.
In addition to all the advice you got, please and please always support your back while breastfeeding your baby. Make sure you sit in a comfortable position, you can support your leg with a stool, carry your baby on your arms supporting it with a pillow and put him on your breast.
You take your baby to the breast not the other way round ie bending to put the breast on the baby’s mouth. This will also help with your posture.
Massage your body with hot water. Your body went through a lot to bring forth your precious baby. Your pelvic bones softened and expanded to accommodate the baby. It needs some time to readjust back to normal that is why in the olden days, you are pampered for at least 3 months after delivery. They bathe, and massage your body with Sheabutter and palm kernel oil.

Imagine my MIL is in her midseventies and does not know where nd where to massage baby after bathing
Baby will be crying she will be telling to coman carry him. She is a nice person no doubt but does enjoy more of farm work than home activities.

My mom wouldve come if not for stroke. I still cook ror my house because she said she cannit be cooking for us

I honestly feel like crying sometimes

Have a big hug dear Mummy John. I feel your worries cos I av been there. Sis, it is not easy but we have to strike a balance. You may need to be a bit selfish. Focus on John and yourself for now please. Try sleep when your baby sleep and plead with DH to help so you can get a little me time. It can be exhausting but you know what? We are stronger than we think we are. May God strengthen u.

Omo Agbara dey far oh, except you see work for Nestle/Unilever factory. It is virtually Ogun state. Ago isn't bad. It's close to the airport, you can link 3rd mainland easy. Traffic in Lagos makes everywhere far sha but Ago isn't bad. I dey even think say make I move there as una don hype the light

I don't know if it's ok to give PCM for a less than 2 week old baby, my baby didn't cry for long after circumcision. Boobjuice is the almighty soother so far he doesn't have fever. Ndo, it will pass

As for the tiredness the first few weeks are the hardest. Do only what you can do and leave the rest. If you cannot cook, leave it. If your baby is sleeping go and sleep quickly. No sweeping, no washing of clothes until you're up to it. Just take one day at a time, it is well
