What accolades are you taking in the SW?. An estimated 10-15million Igbos live in the SW thats about quarter of the entire Igbo population, so it is normal for you guys to compete with Yorubas in some areas and sectors. While we barely have 500 thousand Yorubas living in the SE.
"An Igbo man sees the entire world as his village, while an Hausa man sees Kano as the Universe and a Yoruba man sees Lagos as his entire world. Nigeria is just too small to contain the Igbo man’s dreams, aspirations, industry, commerce and expertise ... if you want to test how successful you are , leave ur village and try in another place far from home... though I acknowledge Yoruba tendency , some of them are hardworking and industrious.... the competitiveness and rivalry bring out the best from both neighbour's

You're a married woman and a certain level of decorum is expected of you. To come online by 8am in the morning to be stoking embers of division and tribalism shows the kind of wife you are, the training your parents gave to you and the home you're presently mis-building.

This is a beautiful thread, don't pollute it with your atrocious manners.

To the topic, that building represents a lot of good things. Solid architecture, quality education, affordable fees and genuine missionaries. Not the religious charlatans building schools today that look like shops and charging extortionate fees to produce low quality graduates.
You are wicked. But you are right. She is obviously not wise and indeed hate-filled. Always comparing themselves to others to feel alive.

I am with you. Interlocking madness vs green space. The whites are no fools.....old pics too oyibo-like

The problem with green spaces is maintaining them (irrigation, grooming) which can become expensive on the long run but with interlocks you reduce those expenses.

But sure, green spaces are nicer.

Nice post Op.

I read about the school in Eze goes to college.

I prefer the old building with flowers and all.

Modernization has its up and down sides.

I came to say the same thing. The old layout is far superior to what they have done now. People in 1925 evidently had more taste and sense of design than those today.

THE OLDEST POST PRIMARY SCHOOL ( SECONDARY ) IN IGBOLAND IS METHODIST COLLEGE UZUAKOLI. IT WAS STARTED IN 1923. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN. HOW CAN A SCHOOL STARTED 2 YEARS LATER BE THE OLDEST?. METHODIST COLLEGE UZUAKOLI CELEBRATED THEIR GOLDEN JUBILEE IN 1973. NOW THE OLD BOYS ARE GEARING UP FOR CELEBRATION OF 100 YEARS. UP UZUMECO.
