Very true. I see it every day in my discussions with Nigerians from the different tribes.

I have a very well enlightened and respected Yoruba friend with whom I have always enjoyed having discussions and debates on National issues .
During the GEJ era, this fellow was so rabidly anti GEJ. Every single day he had something disparaging to say about GEJ. He claimed to have an inside scoop of what was going on in ASO Rock. He mocked GEJ so mock that even I began to see GEJ through his eyes.

The funny is that he would always say to me " See how your brother is messing up ".
For him, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan = Igbo Man.

And I began to suspect that therein was the root of his hatred for GEJ.

Now fast to 2018, almost three yrs after GEJ's exit, and now that we know that 100% of his allegations against GEJ were pure lies, I am shocked beyond belief that he has very little criticism of the Buhari government, and even continues to blame GEJ and some veiled references to the Southeast as being responsible for Buhari's failures in governance.

He agrees that a united Nigeria is unworkable and should break up, but is anti Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB.
To him, Nigeria should stay as it is until Yorubas are ready.

So, at the end of the day I can't help coming to the conclusion he is more anti-Igbo than pro Nigeria.
