Barely seven hours after governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state cried OUT that the state was going be attack in ten days, unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attack and killed four persons in Ngutsen village of Wurojam ward in Gasol local government area of Taraba state. An eye witness spoke to Vanguard on phone said the attackers arrived the village at about 9 pm on Thursday.

“They came in our village in large number, is by the grace of God that we from the village were having sleepless nights since the rumor of the landing of Helicopter close to our village here, we were able alert our people” “Though four persons were killed, two women and two men, several people were injured and they taking treatment at several hospitals as we speaks” Wurojam is about 20 kilometers away from Jibu village where the senior special assistant on media and publicity to governor Darius Ishaku Bala Danhabu recently alleged that a Helicopter landed with arms. As at the time of the report, Vanguard learnt that the Gosol local government chairman was already at scene of the incident with the Divisional Police Officer DPO of the local government to maintain calm. When called the police public’s relation officer David Misar said was yet to be briefed over the incident. He promised to get back to Vanguard as soon as he get the details of the development.

Even till today, some Yoruba monikers still refer to IPOB as terrorists.
