This 2018 Nature article Mapping child growth failure in Africa between 2000 and 2015 confirms stunting in North and partially SW of Nigeria. To confirm, check out the most bottom map (Figure g) of Africa on your left side in first picture: Prevalence of stunting (2000–2015) in children under five and progress towards 2025.

The south of Nigeria generally met the global nutrition target (GNT), but the purple color is not as purple in the West as it is in the SE and SS, which means that the West is not yet there while SE and SS are there 100%

Poverty and malnutrition in Nigeria is a Northern phenomenon~~ SLS.

Now SW is equally towing the same path with the North as they now have an active almajiri population that is steadily growing in the SW.

If SE and SS should be a country, we will be a middle income country with some of the best human development index in Africa while the rest of Nigeria will sink down the bottom. It is the Ave figures after tallying our positives and their negatives that puts us in this unenviable position!

That Nigeria is world's poverty capital is simply because of the North!!
