Same here too, MIL would say 'if I start to press now and break her hand, o kwa kam si je'. The only pressing I know that works is to use a little powder and gently pull along the spine of the nose to create pointed nose cheesy

I found my husby mixing drips inside water to give my eldest gang(zino).I ve cautioned him the first time to stop ,but he's still drip mixing it for her to drink.

I have packed all the cans abi na rubber of drips and hidden them.
pls I wantew know if its safe?

This is an old schedule. Some of the vaccines are now combined and the names changed.
Eg Penta vaccine is a combo of 5 vaccines and PCV combines prevenar and co.

@Naomi14, just follow your hospital schedule.
Eg. in the hospital I use, babies take PCV @ 6w, 14w and 6m. I’m ok with their arrangement and have never had issues with immunization and it’s only a paediatrician that administers the vaccines.

Just use hot water not too hot to burn to massage the tummy, chest area and the back. That’s ok.
You can use ori or any oil of your choice to massage his body from time to time. This helps in relaxing them. Run your hands through the spine and gently stretch the legs. You can also google how to massage a baby.

I’ll also suggest you start putting him for tummy time. Spread cloth on your bed, put him on his tummy and gently caress the back. You can put his hands under his chest in push-ups position. He may struggle initially but don’t give up. Keep trying and make it a routine. This will help him have a strong core. A baby that has a strong core sits without stress and carry himself well no matter the weight and may crawl faster.
I did it with my son and he sat up straight @ 3 months and started crawling @ 5 months when he weighed 10kg. When people tell me he has lots of weight and may not crawl early, I waka pass because he’s already crawling and pulling up sef.

You can also lie him on your laps face up with his legs on your stomach and gently pull him with his hand. The idea is that he will push his body upto a sitting position. I start this from around 2 months.
Please, i’m not claiming anything but this is what worked for me.

Abeg, I dey find where to hide.

My 3 kids are down with malaria fever.
I have the worst sore throat ever, can’t even swallow my saliva and it hurts when I touch my neck. Had to be placed on anti malaria and amoxicillin yet everyone is shouting Mummy this and that.
No help although I’m reconsidering that.
Husband is helping out the much he can do but I just need my sanity back.
I just be like ”ama ndi ara” (arena of mad people).

End of rant. cry

. @just following the hospital schedule, At the PHC, the immunization for one year is blank, so if you want to follow that schedule, that's how you'd be thinking your baby has no more immunization after 9months not knowing they are still plenty, some hospitals also don't include the vaccines they don't have on their schedule, that's how my cousin and many other mums missed Rota until it was too late. How have you been and why do I imagine you are at Aba?
