Porous if you are Fulani. If you are non Fulani cattle herder ie an Igbo trader trying to carry okrika bales accross, customs would kill you there if you dont bribe them enough.

Northern Nigeria is a problem to this country. You can't even differentiate Hausas, Chadians and Malians in appearance and way of life. They are all same.

This has been a concern to me.All borders in the North are porous. Visit Bama and Banke in Bronu State, there is no border with Cameroon. This is what we have been saying, it is South Nigeria against North Africa that's why they determine who wins elections

Nigerians already smuggle refined into Niger Republic since its easy money. Nigerians smuggle in food stuff from Niger Republic. The refinery exist to side step Niger delta oil so they aren't as dependant on it. Nigeria already imports lots of crude anyway so refining it won't be bad. Belgium imports out crude to sell us back refined oil for example.

The border needs more security. The most active smuggling route from what I read Nigeria Benin border.

What stopped GEJ from fencing it and making the place more secure??

You wailers just look for every avenue to blame Buhari as if he is responsible for your life failures.
Nonsense!

The worst part is that the northerners are complicit because they don't expose them .. Come to Lagos and see Chadians and Nigeriens claiming northerners ..
All because they speak Hausa language

It's something that should be looked into

What stop the change agents from changing the status quo? Did Nigerians vote in change to hear stories they already know.
You should stop and think before talking trash.
