Nigerians already smuggle refined into Niger Republic since its easy money. Nigerians smuggle in food stuff from Niger Republic. The refinery exist to side step Niger delta oil so they aren't as dependant on it. Nigeria already imports lots of crude anyway so refining it won't be bad. Belgium imports out crude to sell us back refined oil for example. The border needs more security. The most active smuggling route from what I read Nigeria Benin border. 7 Likes |
