@OP antiflathead, stop being a petty religious bigot.

Most middlebelters do not play politics with religion, so take your stupid religious campaign back to Katsina state!

What display of stupidity.

I just explained to you, he couldn't be a bigot and still hold the Internet of the whole northerners at heart, You can't show any single evidence where Sardauna favored a Fulani man over a Tiv. He treated them equally so long you are a northerner.
Under the Northern Nigeria Republic or Federal Republic of Nigeria?

I agree that religion plays a huge part in most regions of Nigeria but other factors matter a lot too. A Muslim Igala man brought up in a North Western state will most likely vote a Muslim, but a Muslim Igala man raised in Dekina will certainly not vote for a hausa Fulani just because of religion. You need to understand this distinction.

that's why I didn't generalize, other aspects come into consideration but we have to admit the fact that religion supersede all other factors

if two candidates(Muslim and Christian) are running for an elective office with the same manifesto of improving the welfare of the subjects..the Muslims will vote for the candidate, merely bcuz his a Muslim and vice versa Christians too... a lot of us wouldn't like to admit it,but that's the truth!

Areas of Nigeria which are generally referred to as belonging to the Middle Belt are: Kwara State, Kogi State, Benue State, Taraba State, Plateau State, Nasarawa State, Niger State, Adamawa State, the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), as well as the southern parts of Kaduna State, Kebbi State, Bauchi State, Gombe State, Yobe State and Borno State.

The definition of the Middle Belt areas are subject to great debate due to the presence of significant number of ethnic Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri groups. In addition, the Yoruba of Kwara and Kogi have a strong affinity with the larger Yoruba body and frequently prefer not to be associated with the Middle Belt identity.

The Middle Belt is a human geographical term designating the region of central Nigeria populated largely by minority ethnic groups and stretching across the country longitudinally. The Middle Belt is indeterminate in that it lacks designated "borders" and is characterized by a heterogeneity and diversity of peoples and cultures. The eminence of manifold minority groups to some degree constitutes an ethno-linguistic barrier in the country, drawing a separation between the principally Islamic North and the mainly Christian south.[1]

I am not disputing ur analysis though, the term middle belt represents the minority tribes of the north infact of nigeria to some extend, with the exception of kwara, the entire middle belt region have similar cultures with some subtle diversities. They even have forums/movements towards full emancipation from hausa-fulani (core north) dominance.......These group of people align more with the south when it comes to voting, check through the voting map from 2003 onward, that of 2015 was a different ball game the quest to remove GEJ was almost nationwide.
The north have accused the southern political leaders of trying to break their political strength by causing disunity through the middle belt..
