IBB: I Stand By My Statement, Buhari Is Too Old For 2019 Presidency. by chriskosherbal(op): 4:27am On Feb 05, 2018
Former military leader Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd.) said he stands by statement calling for a “new generation of leaders, according to Mr. Kassim Afegbua.

In a widely-circulated statement, Afegbua quoted IBB as advising President Muhammadu Buhari not to stand for re-election in 2019.

Hours after the statement was released to the media, another statement from Babangida disowned the earlier statement.

But in an interview with ChannelsTV Sunday night Mr Kassim Afegbua said the former president stands by the first statement.

“The former military president authorised the statement I issued. I didn’t just put out the statement on my own,” he said.

He said Babangida wants a new generational set of leaders come 2019.

Buhari and speech plagiarism proliferation. It started since he gave his first speech as president in 2015. Since then he's been doctoring the speeches of others.

Apart from being too old, the score card about this administration within 3yrs is low...buhari's government is an incompetent government swimming in the pool of propaganda.

Afegbua have always been the one releasing press statements for IBB i dont know why this particular one is causing a rift just because IBB said the same thing everybody have been saying.

Apc is a party of propaganda trying to cover shame on the known fact that they have failed.
A party that glorifies in nepotism cannot be supported by any sensible person but sycophants.

Love Speech. Thank you. He is old and inflexible. He can never fit into a pre-structured Nigeria. Therefore, for fareness, experience and forward march, APC should field Osinbajo/Saraki.

Babangida is a confused soul since 1995 when he "stepped aside" as head of state

Mohammed Babangida, IBB's Son, Further Debunks Afegbua's Letter smiley

http://thenationonlineng.net/2019-drama-ibbs-stand-buharis-future/

Wailers and other detractors know that they simply cannot defeat PMB if he runs in 2019 - which from all indications he will - hence their panicky resort to lies, falsehood and propaganda in order to deter him.

The mix of lies and propaganda against PMB was even worse in 2015 yet he won, why do they think it would be any different now? Lol. These series of rebuttals are an automatic endorsement of Buhari by IBB and will surely earn him sympathy votes and further deepen his support base, particularly in the North which will counteract on the effect of OBJ's letter. The "middle belt's" planned protest vote against PMB just got weaker because Niger State is the largest state in the region and its de-facto political leader (IBB) has aligned with PMB. Thank you Afegbua cheesy

The opposition should grow some balls; let us battle it out at the polls. It is PMB/PYO till 2023 cool.
