I'm never a fan of conforming to certain traditions.
My son wore a white Tee with red sports inscriptions and blue shorts.
My daughter wore an off white lace gown with pink belt and flowers. The main option was a really flowery pink and blue gown.

Saline drop is just expensive shiii jor. Stuffiness will go on its own.

Even for catarrh/ blocked nose, you don't need saline drops. About 30 minutes before bathtime rub ori on nose, chest and back, combined with hot water during bath the catarrh will become soft then you can suck it out.

Mamas in the house. I greet you all. My heart has been troubled. Each time I go and pick my daughter from school, she's always isolated. There was this day I went to pick her and the other kids were surrounding their teacher taking selfies, she was just on her seat looking. Today, I just got home from picking her, the other kids were seated on the play mat while some where dancing, cos they were playing kiddies songs on the TV. On a norms my baby can't hear song and sit down. lol. But she was glued to her seat only her. Made me feel somehow. What could be the problem? Is this totally okay or it's all in my head?

I think some kids are just like that and they will later change. Like my son, 2 of his aunties asked me if he talks at home, that the boy doesn't talk in school, but he participates in all outdoor activities. They nearly tag his enemy deaf and dumb, just 3 weeks ago one of the teachers in that school saw me and asked if the boy talks at home at all, i told her "very well" that he repeat everything that happened in school, he sings, recites numbers and does his assignment on his own cos he won't allow you to hold his hand. The teacher now told me that she has been telling those aunties to leave him that some kids are like that, that they are always on his neck forcing him to talk, to the extent that he fears those 2 aunties whenever he sees them.

So, watch her activities at home and compare to what is happening in school, and always give her attention at home. I believe with time, she will adapt and associate with others, cos my son has really changed this last week in school according to report.

Please mummies in the house help me. My baby is 8 months but has not started crawling. Though she always make a move but will end up lying on her stomach. Pls wot do I do?
Also wot can I use to treat nla/Ella on her head. I have given her agbo, new hair have started growing while the old ones are still falling. Pls help me her hair is almost empty

This rice and even the oats are quite tasteless compared to cerelac but we used them between four and six months. At six months we switched to friso.

I don't tnk it's weird,she is probably enjoying herself.. my son does dt too,he even pull's d nipple nd twist sef.

I always used to remove my son's hand. They usually do it it's normal. But I don't like it because it can be annoying /embarrassing once the child is older but has formed habit of playing with your breasts. Even after weaning, I know a girl who was still always looking for her mom's breast in church to play with.

If you know you won't like it in future then don't let her form the habit now.

If you're a Catholic for baptism your church MAY require the baby to wear white.

Baby clocked 5months this February and we started cereal yesterday. Twas a battle; the boy barely took 50ml. I gave nutriben in the morning and nutribon in the evening in place of his usual formula but he wasn't having any of it. What can I do to make it easier for him to eat?? He's been formula fed from day 1 alongside breastmilk. I also want to introduce ogi baba by weekend.
I got clearance from the paediatrician.

Would appreciate tips on making the transition to cereal.

Make it extremely light to start with. Gerber rice was good transitioning for us because it's quite light.

Have you checked the supermarkets or where they sell baby's food inside market.
You can change the milk if you can't find Enfamil, there are many good baby's milk.

Muna didn't eat pepper till like 2 months ago at 27 months. In fact when we were learning colors she yelled out color pepper from seeing a red flash card.
I do plain tomato chicken stew. Portioned in small plates for her only and kept in the freezer.
Gradually I started adding one rodo every week.


Other food options
Potatoes.
Spaghetti
Cooked oats
Pancakes
Yam
Beans


You can also add butter to these meals.



How did I finally make Muna eat pepper?
The gradual addition didn't work. Once the rodo got a bit much, she stopped taking the stew so I went gangster on her when she clocked 2, I chook peppered stew in her mouth randomly and refused to give her water. Till she learnt to just cope with it and now we're fine.

I guess I'm lucky then. I started adding yazi (haussa pepper) to his purees at six months. Cos I wasn't using salt or maggi and so didn't want the food too tasteless. Boy can eat anything now, has higher pepper tolerance than his father.
