The box pen method is ok. Construct a pen with nets on top to allow for air. But ensure the whole sides are properly covers to avoid ants and termites penetration. Also ensure the ground is covered with loamy soil and the temperature of the pen (snail house) is dark and moist (wet) and noise free

Can someone that can't eat snail rear it..
