The kind of dehydration I felt two nights ago was so terrible that I was virtually praying that someone would bring me water in my dream, cos I was so tired that I couldn't wake up to get it myself, but ,as a health conscious person, I had to force myself to get water before the witches serve me chill goat pee, I trust no one.

I have been noticing a change in my metabolic system for the past two weeks. Naturally, I am the type that could survive a whole day just with a sachet water to quench my thirst but I noticed that for the past two weeks I have been consuming nothing less than 10 sachet water due to persistent dehydration.

I didn't take it serious until this morning when I was reading a broadcast on one of my WhatsApp groups about "heat waves stemming from the emmision green house gases ". This is said to account for the excessive heat we feel during the day in this period.

My question is " how many of us really feel this rate of dehydration and how often has it forced u to consume water this days?

As for me I just finished drinking the 7th sachet water now

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has warned Nigerians to prepare for more hot days and warm nights. Should drink more water to keep hydrated. Keep a water bottle with you to remind you to take water. Avoid alcoholic and caffeinated drinks during this period.

Monitor your blood pressure
Should, as much as possible, stay indoors between 12noon and 3pm
Should take cold baths before going to bed at night
