Kits are good but they don't win you world cups, so I haven't really been carried away with misplaced euphoria.

Never have I seen our WC Jerseys discussed and debated as I saw here.

Oga Icon4s pointed out many things that we actually either ignore or don't really consider.

The discussion even went into the physics of color and heat absorption and reflection. Honestly, this thread is rich

TheSuperNerd, you and your Dad, Icon4s need to work as consultants to some of those Jersey making companies. Your analyses were so top notch and professional.

Well done guys.

In the English game apart from timing you need real physical strength or you will get bullied.

I remember being at Blackburn when Yak was there and I was shocked to find boys of 14-18 benching heavy weights. Totally misguided but reflects the over emphasis on physicality by some clubs who intend to fight thier way through games.

There was a Nigerian striker there U18 he didn't make it. but is in the Bundesliga 2 now. Forgotten his name but his origins are from Edo state.

All players young or old need OPPORTUNITY how you get that is where all the Maradona posturing and manipulation takes over.
Oga, this your English thing no dey tire you?

Na wa o.

More on the Super Eagles Jerseys.....
Even their faces are speaking. Nacho don't care as much as its a good outing. Ndidi is not feeling the dark green, and Iwobi is so disappointed he forgot how to pose for such an unveiling of the new national kit. It's so contrasting actually,. And I really don't like the all dark green.. The 94 re-branding is okay to me, but not how I'd have loved it to come out.

Yeah. Pics don't lie. Oh you want to tell me you saw approval on their faces. Not even a face caught smiling except @Sophia. Their tweets alone self get hidden messages of how taken aback they are. I wonder how their team whatsapp group would be right now.... If you're seeing something I'm not, My brake lights are still showing

Okay fine... The white/light green special throwback to the first golden era really got the likes of Iwobi, Ndidi and Nacho kinda unsure of whether to be excited or not coz it was different to anything else they saw.... They muted their reactions on that one according to the video.

But when it came to the dark green... Boyyyy they went crazy for it . just watch the video shared by Sir Tbaba1234 and yoy will see what I mean.

And uhmmmm... I see Ndidi smiling here... I also see Nacho trying to keep a composed look with a subtle smile too...and of course, iwobi, always trying to look serious in the GWG. Na normal thing really... No sign of displeasure.

I watched the clip and I'll still stand by Ndidi's reaction. Iwobi and Mikel were shocked at the light green. But as it reps us.... and makes them connect to us.... no p.

I'd want every supporter to so have the jersey that it would be a trademark presence when Russia arrives...

Biased not prejudiced.

It means I have in depth first hand experiential knowledge and involved participatory understanding of English football. When I talk about English football I don't talk from supposition.

As a consequence, I may not talk about other leagues in Europe because I don't have in depth knowledge. Nonetheless, I still go to Europe every year at least 6/7 times sometimes more and watch games.

So for instance there are comments l make about players that may be a summary of coaches and managers opinion garnished with my opinion. That's not bias. It may be clinical and objective and unsavoury and therefore not palatable to most emotive fans.

Bias = unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something.
With all due respect sire, save us the whole English talk...., Football does not start and end in England

Haba!... You no dey tire? angry

Every day, England this... England that sad

Baba we in Nigeria have a more wholistic and expanded widened view about football because we focus on football equally from all continents

That's the strength of this team. This explains why our average keepers look strong. Against Cameroon, the keeper was rarely tested. We're strong defensively and lethal in counter attack.

Reason I believe the world cup is ours. shocked

I don't want us to go too much into the physics of this because of the general house. I just want to drop one principle ; materials that easily absorb heat easily loss heat. Dark colours would easily absorb the heat (which would be cold temperature in the case of Russia) now losing the heat would mean the material transferring part of the heat into the human body. It doesn't directly retain the heat as you put it. What can isolate the body is maybe a particular membrane attached to the inner parts of the jerseys to insulate it from the human body. That is where the technology comes in.

It is a revers of the conditions for the light coloured Jerseys.

But no worries, cos I believe the Nike technology experts would have put all those into consideration.
I hope they put the shoes into consideration also, I'm talking about proper traction for the players cos it might rain sometimes in june and the fields become very slippery.

In the past I notice most of the shoes they wear are not properly suitable for the weather, that's why u see our players slipping sometimes during games..

I'm so sure the Chan team didn't have have the right traction shoes when they played against Morocco in the final..that would have affected their play so much, not taking away the fact that the team was generally poor..

North American weather is similar to Russian weather, both are closer to the north pole, so I expect quite a bit of rain falling in June..playing on extreme wet grass no be the same for dry grass ooo..I just hope the NFF mandate Nike to give us the right kind of shoes, don't want anything that would hinder our performance..

With the collar in the first one, it looks like the tunnel-walk-out tracksuit for anthems and all those other good stuff. Also, there are two types of warm up attire - one for pre game warm up and the other for training at your training base.

Then they may have the one I call "boarding house uniform" that they wear while they are in their rooms in the hotel. Ain't seen that yet. But I may be wrong as I was not privy to nike's thought process.

KPOM! Coach Rohr has definitely transformed our style of play. Gone are they days when we'd have 78% possession of the ball and the game would still end 0-0. Against Argentina, for instance, we had only about 34% possession but we scored 4 goals! That's a solid counter-attacking team right there!
