You will have to evaluate your diploma as well. I know of someone who had the same issue, the assessment was put on hold for over a year until he provided the diploma transcripts.

Elle78:
Good afternoon everyone.

Please Is there anyone who obtained a degree following a diploma from unilag and successfully evaluated his/her BSC/BA degree with WES. I received the status update on my Wes and don't know how to go about it.

Please note that I am not trying to evaluate my diploma. Apparently, the transcript shows from 200L-400L.

Thanks for the response in advance.

From all indication, you need to evaluate your diploma as well because that is the missing link in your educational history (transcript).

You will need to add the Diploma to the evaluation.

There are several reasons why they request for schedule A. It might be that your details when you submitted your application did not transmit well. It could also be because you were denied a visa before and they want more information on it.

Regardless of the reason for asking you to complete it, just fill the form and ensure the information tally with what you submitted except if you earlier made a mistake.

ADR is not a bad thing. It is a way the visa officers can get more details of any information that is not clear to them.

Hello lovelies,

Silent reader but decided to become active because if everyone stayed silent, this much knowledge would have never been unleashed.

Brief timeline:

ITA: Jan 9
Applied: Jan 26
Request letter for Schedule A & travel history (even though I have extensive travel history in my app): Feb 8
Meds still not applicable

I am currently doing research but any helpful tips about Schedule A will make my day e.g why they might want it and best way to go about it. I promised I’ve read all the threads and I’m not coming in as a lazy novice. I just felt the urge to share what was happening maybe someone has some golden info they forgot to share.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Of course congrats to everyone that recently got ITA!

Thank you so much for this kind and gentle reply. I have submitted it. I want to believe this is a positive thing as changes are already happening to my CIC while it was radio silence before. Fingers crossed it’ll end in praise for us all.

If you do not evaluate the two certificates, how will CIC know you actually have the certificates?

Thank you wonderful people for the responses @dupyshoo, @happytbaby @nat138. I am actually evaluating my bsc and msc. I guess i'd have to remove the bsc then as it will be more stressful and time consuming. However, I have plans of doing a bridge program or take up certifications upon landing. Would I require the ECA of my first degree for this?

I stand to be corrected but I will like to think that for further studies you will need to have all post secondary qualifications evaluated or at least the qualifications deemed necessary for your further studies. But for the purpose of EE, assessing your highest qualification in this case your Masters is okay.
So if you feel that obtaining the transcript for the diploma will slow down your current process, evaluate only the masters then evaluate the rest when you are ready for studies.

The average CRS score that has been invited to apply for sometime now is above 440. And since u maxed out IELTS, i think il advice u consider going thru provincial nominee program (PNP) as this gives u additional 600points.

Please do a research on this to know better and help decide which Province u will consider.

My humble opinion, but our elders here might advice better.

Good luck!

I did a 1 year diploma in Unilag also. My transcript read from 200 level to 400 level. I was never asked for my diploma transcript and it was evaluated equivalent if a degree.

Hello house,

Please does anyone know the process involved in getting the bank reference letter stating account closing (as per IRCC standard) from GTBANK? I was told to get in touch with my account officer because they don't usually issue such.

Thanks.

Has anyone successfully evaluated the NTI PGDE from WES? Pls help.
Nazor83:
Hello Gurus,

Please I need support on something.

I applied to Wes for evaluation of my bachelors cert and a PGDE I got from NTI (affiliated to Usman Dan Fodio University). However, am foreseeing there may be problems evaluating the PGDE cert as the Certificate is bearing Usman Dan Fodio and the transcript will bear NTI. I want to ask WES to cancel the PGDE evaluation request and go ahead with the bachelors. My IELTS is out (LRWS - 8.5, 7, 7, 7.5) and I will get CSR score of 439 with just the bachelors.

Please I need guidelines on how to send request to WES to cancel the PGDE evaluation request and proceed with the bachelors which they have got all needed information.

Thanks a lot in anticipation.

Thank you so much @cochtrane , u are a life-saver. God bless your good heart.

Please just a quick question.

- Where you specifically asked to fill a SCHEDULE A form? This is because I was not asked to.

- Do you advice I fill a SCHEDULE A form in the light of the fact that I was asked to give details about residency, occupation/studies, travel, e.t.c?

-Yes, I was specifically requested to fill a Schedule A form.
-Since you are not asked to, I don't see why you should. Perhaps you could do what they asked first and then as an addition fill a Schedule A form.

I would believe, yes. As long as WES states it under "Canadian Equivalency", you should be able to. My brother has his application in process now and is claiming "two or more certificates" with an additional college-level 1-yr certificate. I'll share the outcome here when he gets his PPR smiley

I got in touch with my account officer in order to get this done. He finished it at his end and had it scanned to me. He did mention that I needed to have a current account before they could process it successfully.

I am sure they would have received the notification in records so you actually don't need to go physically for that. I actually followed up on mine with someone in records to get it done quickly. You should do same.

Please I have a question, if I worked in 3 different places, same NOC same JD same Job title. And I was told by each of these companies that I should go ahead and draft the reference letters, I need to use 3 different formats and wordings right?

Same format, slightly different wordings, different font(in case they decide to copy and paste) . It is not inconceivable that you provided them with a format in line with CIC specifications. Nothing do you.

What really matters is that the company is willing to sign it confirming that your performed those roles. However, an uncanny similarity might make the VO think the references are "genje". He would just confirm them which should not be a problem since you actually worked there.

Good day my E-fam. Please I tried processing my transcript through a staff at the school's Records office. The attached is what I got as a transcript.
Can I send this to WES? Is this what LASU's transcript looks like?
Please if anyone has a sample of LASU's transcript,i would like to see what it looks like.
He claimed he had sent it for two weeks now but WES didn't receive anything. I applied and paid online which is the normal procedure, and only tipped him for processing not minding the strike.

To be honest with you, what you have looks like abe-igi transcript. LASU transcripts is usually sealed in the school's customised envelope. The envelop is usually taped and not stapled.

WES is very familiar with LASU process. I was at the school today and i saw a lot of correspondences between LASU and WES. That's why they take the issue of verification very serious.

I need to rant

This country can be so backwards!
Trying to work out my OOU diploma trancripts so i can claim points for "two or more certificates"

For two weeks now, my person on ground has been going back and forth between academic affairs and my department.

Apparently they never compiled results in the first place!! Its been 10 years o

Anyway it gave me more boost to leave this country
