I could feel sadness in the Diabaté crew when Nacho released that brilliant pass. I just choked in a chuckle and muttered class.

Pls my man let's take this hate of a thing out of it and talk football.

Iheanacho remain the face of Nigeria football cos he is our homegrown talent just like Kanu of Japan 93 fame and Mikel of 2003,so expect a lot of discussion on him either positive or negative. One thing is clear nobody can take Iheanacho quality from him no matter the criticism.

Oh Kayode Olarewaju not good for WC when we are not playing Somalia, this your statement showed total disrespect to the player in question.

Pls let always gives respect to our players even if it's negative criticisms. They deserves it cos it's not easy.
Lol,like seriously apart from joke what you said wasn't wrong,I am making an example and I mean no disrespect to kayode, but some folks here hate iheanacho, but will call for a player who doesn't come of the bench for his team to be included in the super eagles, that's what I meant,I was trying to say super eagles is not the Somalia national team, common bros we have players around Europe and you need to be playing to deserve call up,even musa had to return back to cska, gone are the old days of super eagles where a certain Michael uchebo or a Gabriel Ruben will make the World Cup.

The club (Hopel beer Shiva) is performing in an average level 2 wins, 2 draws and one loss...

And Anthony have a goal with no assist, rated as second best player with 7.05
While Ogu is the fifth best player with 6.71. In their club

Third on log of table...

Think he still have one more match to prove himself in GWG shirt...

Hahaha a beg make una leave me oo! Because I don't subscribe to celebrating mediocrity of any sort in this game of soccer. It was called the beautiful game for a reason. These guys are professionals and they get paid. So in what way is expecting qualitative performances from them as a fan an outrageous demand?

Gateway fc is my favorite club we are in the npfl few season ago but the way we are have been going down we will soon discover a crude oil maybe by then the management will get small sense cry can you imaging somebody want to buy the club and the stupid state government refused to sell and the lmc should do more to protect the club from going bankrupt sunshine should have been booted out the league since they can meet up the requirement or let efcc get involved to investigate the corruption charges . #gatewayfcforlife #bringbackgatewayfc #upgateway
The governor is not a sport man... That one am sure of...
Think most nigeria club side owned by govt is for politics reasons
They used it to compensate friends and families
And another way to embezzled little money the club provides but wait are they making profit from the clubs?
When they can't even pay up salaries..

Professionals based in our local league. They tried and gave what they got in terms of quality (based on who were picked for the CHAN team). See ehn... Telling them congrats is not celebrating mediocrity.

When talking on Okpotu, I was quick to state that no one should even be considering mentioning his name for the mundial but again... I am also one to acknowledge good no matter how little. These guys wrote a new chapter in our history by reaching the CHAN final. They lost 4-0 yes... But biko Elder Kog45 asked you a question or made a statement...

That Brazil 2014 team that lost 7-1 to Germany abi they were all bunch of mediocres too abi? See sometimes.. That is football.

P.S: Prayers still on.... wink

Apart from Iheanacho and Ighalo i don't see any striker again,Nwakaeme at 29 with a cap and playing in Isreal get as ebi my man and watching him against Algeria not even close to Ighalo or Iheanacho level.

It may sound some how but if Nwakaeme deserves a call again then players like Martins Obafemi,Ogbeche and Ideye deserves a call too to slug it out in camp.

I think it should be a walkover. And a paddy who watched the game said they were 11 but didn't have a bench but not 10, you shouldn't be able to start a game with 10 players and that was why Etim Esin(?) once played a match without being invited
Do you read the punch report about the game?
Plateau beat sunshine 5 nill

They have their players on ground just that LMC denied them using their new players untill they pay up theur coaches and players.

I think you are right. You cannot start a game except if you have 11 players.

I recall a friendly between Ghana and Zambia some time ago. Zambia had only 9 players. They had to search for Zambians anywhere in London. They were able to secure 3 Zambian students. 2 of them started the game while 1 was on the bench.

Zambia lost that game 4:0.

So I think you must start the game with 11 players else its a walk-over.
But if it's walk over.. It will just be 3 nill not 5 zero..
With report I read they played the match

But the home-based team you call crap is the real foundation of Nigerian football.
Where would Rohr look to quickly for possible talents when he can't get those foreign based players?
l agree their standard and quality is still below par but that is more of the Nigerian factor at play than it is about their talent or abilities.

We are even our own problem sef. Why would The Punch be circulating such false info without confirmation? Something that actually never happened. People will read it and think it's true, not many people have friends who watched the game live and who saw what happened
How many goals are they always Awards for walk over match?

Mujtahida:
Nobody knows it all. Freedom must be given to all to state even nonsensical ideas. Yes! That's their privilege as human beings and no one has the right to stamp on their persons in the name of 'we must only make sensible statements backed with facts and figures(yes because there's a way a man's opinion or viewpoint is attacked and he feels it is himself that is being attacked). You are a science oriented guy. Isn't hypothesis an opinion? Some hypothesis are right, some are wrong. In the face of wrong opinions correction is what is needed. But to say that only correct
ideas are welcome here is to my mind setting up a creed which will make us attack with religious ferocity those who have ideas and opinions that seem incorrect to us
Are we going to have only white here and no black? Even a regime of sensible ideas backed with facts and figures is abhorrent to my soul.

Even if one cannot stomach 'nonsensical' opinions (mind you what is nonsensical to you might be sensible to another person just as it is often said that one man's rebel is another man's freedom fighter) then one can as well challenge it but how we challenge bollocks matters. It is not until a man is told 'wakaa' that he'd feel insulted

Iheanacho is not a god. I heartily support him. In fact I get pricked when he's criticised but I do not subscribe to our creating a gang mentality where everybody must have the same opinion. That is fundamentalism, that is totalitarianism, that is how terrorism begins. Even in the face of facts people are entitled to their opinions because interpretation of facts differ from person to person. Our fingerprints differ, our brain patterns differ, our voices differ. So also our views and opinions. Let's loosen our grip on the need to be right and be seen as right to the extent that we cannot tolerate other people's opinions.

And its not correct to say that those who queried Sir Icon4s' intervention are people who hate Nacho. I understand what Icon4s said but at the same time the undercurrent sounded like he was giving approval to the way liedetector was hounded.

We should not say welcome to people when we cannot welcome them in totality particularly since this is a faceless impersonal online forum. What sort of welcome is this: I welcome you but I do not welcome your absurd opinions. If there's no liberty for them to state their opinions whether backed by facts and figures or not how can we discuss, how can those with wrong ideas be corrected? Congo4ka is one weird guy but I like the way he was corrected yesterday. But you will note that others still said they liked him. That's how life is.

We've all been guilty of attacking each other here but I have soft spot for newcomers. They should be handled with more sensitivity. Only God knows the many number of persons who can richly contribute to this thread that we have chased away. Would it not be better if sometimes we ask people the reason for their 'absurd' opinions and try and engage them?

And even if an opinion is wrong it won't hurt if we endeavour to correct it with the patience and the wisdom of those 'who know'. Elyte89 reaction is typical. He doesn't hate Nacho. He hates the sacred opinions, viewpoints and facts surrounding Nacho and he's decided to desacralize those ideas and facts just to infuriate those who are intolerably Pro Nacho. In a sense elyte89 wants to save Nacho and free him from the consequences of dangerous love.

I should not be misinterpreted as saying that I approve absurd ideas. What I am saying is that we cannot dictate to people the ideas and opinions they should state. I state my own. That's my freedom. You are permitted to disagree, you are permitted to interrogate my opinions, to challenge them. You are even permitted to state your own contrary views. That's your freedom. Igbos have a beautiful proverb which underlies their republican nature: let the Eagle perch, let the vulture (note that the vulture is a clumsy, gruffy, ugly, absurd looking bird) also perch. The one that says taaaa to the other, let his wings be broken.

I am pro Nacho but anti - siege mentality. I will end by giving this short anecdote which ends with one of my favourite quotes: Jean Jacques Rousseau was writing dangerous books, espousing ideas that threatened government, the social order and many cultural norms in 17 century France. He was wanted by the government. All over France he was a wanted man. He had no where to run to. Finally he decided to run to Voltaire. Upon knocking the door Voltaire welcomed him with the following words which have become immortal: I do not approve of the things you say but I will defend to my death your right to say it.

Cheers and love to you all.
I said "that's how we roll here". Meaning it is a norm here. I cannot support any one using harsh words against anyone here.
