I think I'm with you on this, minus ogbeche scoring in the Dutch league won't sway me. see depay and klassen guys who set the Dutch league on fire struggled with goals in the epl
meaning players like Fred Friday, dessers and umar sadiq should be ignored should they set the Dutch league on fire?

how you guys rate a player plying his trade in China wit 7-8 Chinese players in each team starting 11 over the Dutch league leave me baffled....

if martins is to be in the picture...nothing should prevent ogbeche from being invited....

What seperates Manchester City Fc from everyone in the EPL, is one word, BLISTERING PACE,

I just notice something about this thread that so many people hate iheanacho for no reason, but they are quick to praise others players who are not good enough, there was a guy even considering kayode olanrewaju for the World Cup list, maybe he think super eagles is the Somalia national team,a player that cannot make a girona team is not good enough for super eagles bench.

Hate is too extreme. Just say they expect so much from him and when that expectation is not met, contempt is bound to ensue. With respect to other players the expectation is not that high and when they deliver little, they are praised for exceeding expectations.

My last reply to you still stands. I am sure of what I said. It doesn't matter if anyone calls my positivity nonsense... any body can talk... afterall even Jesus was called Beelzubub. lol....

And I read Elder Kog45's comments... I easily understood where he stood. I know where he came from so I never saw it as criticising Chief Icon4s' post. So minus the Kog45 mention... who else plss?

Look... I will keep doing what I do and like I said... you cannot accommodate them all no matter how hard you try. This is the way of the human nature. Everyone just wanna abuse that freedom.

And we have elders here... we have Super OPs here... if that does not suggest an unwritten code of respect and authority here I'm this thread then I suppose you just want us to have it free for all with no one being accountable for what he or she says or drops as "Facts"

And you don't see Nacho as Special.. or even Neymar as special? Well that explains it ... that is your Cup of tea. For the Glories of Nigerian Football... I see Nacho as special and it would remain that way. I followed Mikel as a kid right from his 2003 debut in the U-17s... I saw his potentials and I believed in him. Mikel was villified from all sides just like Nacho. But today he stands a legend among men, a true leader and a born genuine article that had greatness written all over him right from the time I spotted him and began following his career rise. Before Mikel, it was KANU and the rest of that first golden era... no it is the turn of Nacho, Iwobi, Ndidi, and more...

I focus on propagating the right thing about our football and shutting down anything that wanna propagate negativity and lies....

I have had a few bold monikers come out of their silence and thank me for being here because they see and understand what I do here... so Sir Mujtahida... walk your path and I will walk mine. If you choose to not take negativity down but always playing the diplomat... then fine.. stick to it. But me... I choose the way of standing in the gap for our young generation of footballers that have the great potentials to be golden. And I am most vocal about it.

So my previous post stands as response alongside this little addition. You all will hace your interpretation but I won't stop Saying it as it is.... lol... I am here to please no one... I am here to preach the Beauty and great potentials of Nigerian Soccer... so it is also expected that I have my sword sharpened to cut out negativity. That I am not afraid to do. Thank you smiley

Mujtahida:

The main thrust of my post is that people have crazy, absurd ideas. You cannot legislate on what they should think and what they should say at least we have not set up an authority to do so. However if one feels their ideas are wrong then they should be corrected with respect and sensitivity. That's what was done to congo4ka and that's what you did to pussypounder.

.
Don't be too sure you are right. Cos Kog45 who queried that post by icon cannot be said to be a Nacho hater. I also took exception to the line 'that's how we roll here' even though I understood what he meant. I am no Nacho hater

. I guess God was wrong in giving people mouths. And who is the authority to determine who is to talk and write and who is not to talk and write?
. Opinions need not be backed up by facts. A man watches a player and states his opinion yet you say unless the opinion is backed by fact he should take the path of silence? I heartily disagree with this. Again it boils down to who has determined what is logical and what is illogical. I say even if an opinion is illogical, then what should be stated is the logical opinion and not to shut down anybody. Remember Nigeria is said to be a country where everyone is a coach. Na Westerhof talk am abi no be so baba Kog45

Remember Nigeria is said to be a country where everyone is a coach. Na Westerhof talk am abi no be so baba Kog45

And has that stopped forgiveness from being the most vilified moniker on this thread? The fact is not whether people state their opinions backed with facts and figures or whether they do not. Cos if I state my factless opinion I would be attacked. If I state my fact backed opinion I would still be attacked. Heads or tail I still lose. The real issue is that people especially the Pro Nacho people do not want others to state contrary opinions whether backed with facts or not. And I feel that ought not to be so. Some adore him. Others don't. Those who adore him do not adore him based on facts and figures. Their hearts simply clicks with the young man.

And the negative people will call your positivity nonsense or naivety. Tit for tat. How do you like that? I see the world - I see opposites. I too have endeavoured to counter what I perceive as negativity. But then I find intolerance to one man a threat to my own liberty. If a man cannot accommodate John today because John has a factless opinion what me thinks he will accommodate me tomorrow when my opinions and ideas change and become factless. I do not want to go too deep but I trust that anyone who has read George Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm, anyone who has studied totalitarian regimes from Stalin, Ceaușescu, apartheid in South Africa knows how it goes. Remember how Napoleon first chased out Snowball. Later it was the turn of Squealer who was instrumental in chasing Snowball away.

I do not know if it would work but I look at nature and draw my lessons from her. There's a wide, almost maddening crazy variety in nature and nature works just fine accommodating all sorts. Grace.

This is precisely my point. The ideas and opinions we do not agree with should be countered vigorously but to say such ideas and opinions even those not backed with facts and figures should not be expressed is a no no for me.

Even though I find it hard to believe that anyone here wishes the team ill in Russia or generally, I can say that the opinions and positions some have consistently put forward makes such conclusion very logical. Just this week while we were caught up talking about the Jersies komekn went on on his favourite talk. I began to wonder:is this place actually the right place for this man? But then I know it's different strokes. I feel what we should and can do is to counter them. Late last year I went on a myth bursting argument with forgiveness and I can tell you that I myself was quite surprised at what I found in the course of my endeavour. Now imagine if forgiveness didn't have the liberty to state those ideas how could I have learnt something new.

I used the word 'god' as a metaphor to express the inexplicable sensitivity with which some hold him here.

You see him as someone special. I don't necessarily see him as special( I don't even see Ronaldo, Neymar and many star footballers as special even though I know they are super talented) even though I would always want him to succeed in his endeavours. Pinnick knows, Colin knows but others may not agree and that's how it is. You know some like Messi, others don't like him.
And while it is true that Nacho has unenviable stats have you thought about the possibility of Nacho not being a starter in some of our WC matches just as it happened during the qualifiers? I only plead that it would be extremely wonderful if both the pro and anti Nacho groups engage each other without insults and brash talk.

It would be best sometimes if both the pro and anti Nacho monikers avoid the temptation of going into that room marked '' Nacho discussion''

Well then I've asked you don't you think Ndidi combo with Onazi limits him?

Definitely with the look of things that slot Stil open..
Martins Stil have chance likewise ogbeche they are both in form...
Ideye just need to set the ball rolling... With goals added to his game...

In my opinion I will add Martins n ogbeche if ideye come out good great.. And let see how they come out in training.
No close door for any player so far you are Stil very active and in form and also in coach 's plan you are good to go.

I don't mind Henry be added as the 3ed striker...being that musa gonna likely make the team....
so Henry can be registered as the 3rd striker coupled wit his abilities to play as a winger too....

the CF....should be ighalo, nancho and Henry....
while Moses, Simon, iwobi, Musa,Etebo can come in as wingers

If Blistering pace is the key to success, Andros Townsend would have been the next Maradona.

Finito.

But what else does Townsend have

Now compare him to the players that converge good quality technical ability to Blistering pace and you see the real deal.

Gareth Bale
Mbappe
Dembele
Sana
Raheem
Neymar

Take away the pace and they become just very good players not some of the most expensive players in history of football.

I expected more depth from you to be honest.

Blame it on poor management... Most NPFL clubs find it hard to be consistent for two straight seasons cus they often offload most of their players every season or sell them to raise money..
Until NPFL clubs increase the salary and welfare package of their players, they will keep losing their key players and churning out poor performance in continental games

I have fought a good fight here for our players including Nacho. I have gone head to head with forgive.ness and kome.kn who said the 94 set are better than this current set. I have had exchanges with komekn who will not give Iheanacho or Osimhen even a little benefit of doubt. Several times I have argued with Doc Mickael2. I love the SE. Growing up I despised anyone who didn't like football but I've grown past that now. All I'm saying is let the pro and anti Nacho people challenge each other, counter each other, argue and state their opinions but all in a spirit of respect. I don't think that is too much to ask.

And one more thing: many people use negativity to protect themselves and manage their expectations. It riles me but I owe them respect regardless. I too have disrespected others here but respect is and should be how we interact here. Cheers

Firstly, it's not about positional rigidity but adaptability and versatility.

I noticed his attributes immediately on his debut and you should know them with your experience. Then consider the team dynamics and structural strategy.

I realised immediately that he is not a straight replacement for Mahrez but as in the modern game particularly with variations of the 4:3:3 the three forward players interchange and become strikers when suited or if opportunity arises.

You have seen Diabate he has come from French league two. And he is tearing it up in the EPL for them.

Last week the TV pundits dedicated a whole five minutes to eulogize about him.
Baba I hail once more. How many matches has he played in the EPL and you going ohhhhhh on this Diabetes (pun intended) guy? So much for unemotive, non biased view.
