LieDetector: Apart from Morata's finishing challenge, his footballing knowledge and playing style is off the chain. He is a well educated footballer in the game. If he sorts his finishing out, he would be lethal. Saying Morata is a player that does not like challenge is totally off tangent. We are talking of a guy who has been down the pecking order in Real Madrid and Juventus. Working hard and patiently waiting for his turn. There was no need joining Spurs when he had an offer to play in Chelsea. Come on, Chelsea is a bigger brand. Coupled with the fact he was to work with Conte, a coach he trained and worked with at Juventus. |

You really are wasting your time with me. Talk to those who deserve your lectures not me. What I see here is just you being diplomatic as always with the truth. Coating it back and forth. So cheers to you too on your path. I have been on this path in various threads before you showed up and I am still on that path.... so don't expect me to hit positive notes your way. I am a very straightforward person with the truth.... hit on our young players and label them as trash... and I assure you that with time they will all suffer the same fate Goldfish80 suffered. They will only end up eating up themselves and exposing their true dark color... just like Goldfish80 did.... ![]() He used his own hands and typed... "What that guy did to make you leave the thread initially was right. He was right to say all he said." In other words, Goldfish80 said that PietroRico was right to insult my mom.... now if that is the kind of person you want me to go soft on... I am afraid you are very mistaken. Vipers must be exposed as such... Liars must be called what they are. He lied blatantly about Nacho's position in a game because he didn't wanna lose an argument... such a shame. That is the kind of men that hide behind masks of gentility only to be exposed when I stretch them to their limits. I am good at that... so let Goldfish be an example to them because Malicious negativity against our young stars won't be tolerate by guys like me. Ciao... Where we stand in this is only a reflection of the kinds of people we all are in real life... and I sure damn know that the way a mam handled truth is what defines him most. This Hammer of truth is here to stay... and no one hits harder than Truth. Mujtahida: |

TheGoodJoe:adducing Toure's success to pellegrini is fallacious. Ndidi has become a force to be reckoned with in central midfield. This isn't the doing of Ranieri neither is it the doing of Shakespare. The pellegrini you talk about could not improve Nacho's first touch. It's not a coincidence Ndidi has improved massively under Puel. It's also no coincidence that Nacho's first touch has equally improved. He should improve other areas of his game thats the bottomline of my argument Sire. |

TheGoodJoe:Oga, being down the pecking order is as a result of a player's inability to adapt to the coach's philosphy. Though Benzema and Llorente were at the peak of their football career at Madrid and Juve respectively, it never made them insurmountable. A good striker would walk into any of those teams then and cement a starting berth. If Morata was good, he wouldn't be down the pecking order. As for Nacho, I'll base my judgement of him being good on the premise of the number of games he starts |

LieDetector:“He is an excellent player," said Pellegrini."But if he adds goals from free-kicks - and last Sunday he scored again - for him it is very important to score goals."He is a player who can always improve, and Yaya is trying to do it.“We are always practising free-kicks. Yaya stays normally, kicking the ball after we finish the daily work."He is really in a good moment. It is not normal, that someone always scores from free-kicks. That is from Pellegrini talking about him working with Yaya Toure on free kicks after training. Yaya was a good player under Mancini but after working with Pellegrini, he became one of the best players in the world. Ndidi has the potential to do more than tackles and recovery. Under a coach like Pellegrini and in an offensive system, he will achieve more. |

LieDetector:Na wa. Morata worked in the academy with Zidane. So the talk of not adapting to philosophy does not add up. Zidane prefers Benzema, not Morata not adapting to the philosophy. Benzema is a big name and a top quality player. Morata stayed and battled for a place in the team. So that defeats your opinion that he is scared of challenges. Finito. |

LieDetector: How many strikers today could achieve that feat of walking to Madrid and securing a starting shirt. Keep in mind even Higuain left because of the tumultuous task of dropping Benzema. The fact is that Morata is not shy of competition. |

Sir TheGoodJoe, My honorable Sir, the past is past but elements of it still shapes the future and the present.... I had to mention it because it seems Mujtahida forgets that the hammer of truth is more powerful than the silly hammers of Anti-truth on the matter of our young players. How many times have I been hit back at on this thread yet I still stand tall... He said they will hit back as if he doesn't know they have been doing it for how long now yet it has no single effect... it has all failed. All hits were as lame as the hammers they wielded. Truth is always stronger. The only time things went out of line was when someone cowardly called out my Mom... Something even Egbon Forgiveness will never do no matter how deeply engrossed in arguments with you he is. And I recall telling some who came to meet me on my other little thread that I know certain monikers smiled when that happened... Lo and behold, a moment just had to come... a moment to vindicate my statement made out of certain observation... and Goldfish80 exposed himself as one of those monikers... he cannot hide it anymore. That is just who he is. It takes a mind that is deeply psychological to knock off the walls of pretense some monikers wear here... That is what happened to Goldfish. So in the end... I am just a deeply passionate and nerdy guy who loves Nigerian football and does so without any ulterior motives or hate towards/bias against any one player in the green and white. I love and have followed Nigerian football from different angles and I have studied the generations of the team...... When I walked into NL Sports in 2015 after SL10.ng closed down, I didnt know my moniker was already noticed there and followed here by a few... I came in here with a song on the possible rise of another grand golden generation and in every such generation there are major players and Star acts key to the exploits and growth of that generation... and this is what I am out to protect in letters and words... we cannot be having people come here and get battered by the strong wind of half-truths and heavy pessimism and then expect not to have a war to ensure that truth gets out there and is not swallowed by the negative atmosphere. We have what I call subtle enemies of Nigerian football here who we must contend with to ensure that our message on Nigerian football is not choked up or killed away. When a lie is repeated times without number, it will become truth to many soon. Hitler did this and it worked. When nonsense is being uttered and no one can challenge that because they want to have peace... I wonder what kind of peace they are after while the truth suffers to have a voice bearer. I am here to propagate the Good news of Nigerian football and to show that indeed a new golden generation is rising and we must keep fanning that flame with positive views and not predominant negative views taking the so called disguise called "Constructive criticism". This is what the clashes on this thread is mainly about... nothing more. Every other thing said is just a cover -up. So the past will stay buried but its lessons still have impact for today. It is well. TheGoodJoe: |

TheGoodJoe:while you make suppositions about Ndidi becoming a beast under pellegrini, it will be diligent to acknwledge Puel's work so far. Ndidi now makes defense splitting passes, has the ability to break up play and quickly surge forward for counter attacks, his goal to game ratio is quite impressive considering he's mostly deployed in the defensive midfield position. Bro. Puel isn't bad and negative the way you paint him |

LieDetector: I did not play down Puel's work. I said his negative style inhibits Ndidi and other players from reaching top Heights. Ndidi can do more from controlling the midfield, dictating play, spread cross field passes, make dashing runs and release thunderbolts from his feet on a more regular basis. In a more offensive and creative style of play, Ndidi will grow at a faster rate. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:57pm On Feb 11, 2018 |
LieDetector: I have seen Puel play with more bravery but it does not change that he tilts more to the negative side and is not rated as an offensive coach. Sacked for being negative. That is not the kind of system I want our quality talents playing under. |

Very true... it is dull but a few of us do our best to keep dropping updates and news as they come... people like PDPGuy, BascoVanVeli, Olapluto, Schemerkhiz, Solonnachi, Daejoyoung and a few others (pardon me if I forget your moniker) do their best to keep things going there... Well don't worry, we have the WAFU women's cup coming up... hopefully with that, we get to see more updates on a frequent basis there during that period. Women's football deserve as much attention as the men... they hace even won more AFCONs loooolll... e go better shaa. Let's hope the New partnership deal signed between NWFL and LA liga will yield fine fruit. ![]() Danielnino00: |

TheGoodJoe:Zidane can not just prefer benzema if Morata was that good. You mentioned earlier Morata's flaw being his finishing ability. As a striker you don't need 6 chances to be given to you before you bury one. Zidane must have been fade up with Morata's inability to bury chances. Reason why he never cemented a starting berth at Madrid. I would prefer the inconsistent Benzema over Morata if I were zidane. What zidane did is justifiable(preferring benzema over M'rata). If Morata had stayed back to develop his finishing ability, you think Madrid would have agreed to sell him to chelsea? |

TheGoodJoe:And I never agreed to Puel being Negative. Mancity isn't a team you play on the offensive if you do not trust your attackers. Conte and Mourinho come to mind. Prior to Leicester's game against Man city, they've been on a good streak of results. Ndidi's domineering performance at stamford brigde epitomises Puel's tactical masterclass. Watch that game again and purge youself of Puel's negativism rhetorics |

TheSuperNerd:Truth is not the exclusive preserve of anybody not even you. It's even often a matter of perception. Hammer them with the truth. Sure I very much like that. But I know that they too have the freedom to hammer back. After all ko.mekn and for.giveness believe ever so passionately that they are speaking the truth yet they've been attacked the most on this thread. One truth against another truth. Hammer against hammer. It's fair to me. My point is this: it does not lie in the mouth of anyone to shut others down not even in the name of the truth. At least this is a public forum created specifically for debates, discussion and exchange of ideas. Glass of water on the table. The optimist sees it as half full, the pessimist sees it as half empty. Both views are fact, both views are the truth. Perception is reality. I have absolutely no objections to the truth. BUT I take a very strong objection to shutting people down. I take strong objection to insults, disparaging talk, to disrespect. |
