As a precautionary move, I would execute a binding contract with any debtor before lending any sum to him or her with an ascertainable collateral to hold onto in case of default

Litigation is the last resort,

people have evolved to even more delicate but effective means, like sendding sms to all your contacts, blacklisting you on CRC.
with the recent approval by CBN, a debtor can draw his funds from any account you own(BVN).

i see a strong future in the loan recovery lending space!
