The author of the post doesn't realise that it is the failure of the church that is bringing about the problems in the country. The church is supposed to produce upright folks who will inturn lead the way but the church is more focused on wealth and "unmerited favors" hence the moral decline of the society. The fact that corruption and churches are increasing at almost the same rate means there's a disconnect somewhere. |

AZeD1:The church according to statistics, has less followers than Mosques but you managed to blame the church for the ills of the society. Realize that the church is not a place where people are forced to obey, it is a place where you take responsibility for your life and actions. |

your Opinion is flawed .to begin with Nigeria Churches are the one encouraging most of these leaders to steal. like Catholic indulgence of old, the politicians believe as far as they are paying their tithes and all kinds of money they are saved. so they steal government money with impunity. churches preach prosperity, unmerited wealth etc making brethren to be desperate pursue vanity just to make a statement financially |

What a load of crap, gov't is not imaginary it is made up of individuals, both Christians and Muslims, the church has been compromised, if you notice one the first laws Buhari focused was on church finances, that effectively shut the churches up, you don't believe when was the last time a major 'man of God' criticized the gov't. You are a learner and don't understand what religion does to people, ask yourself why religion is tax free, If Jesus wanted you to be a sheep of men, he wouldn't tell you to test all spirits. Imagine if the church focuses on Charities, we would all benefit if a 'christian' get a position of power, but instead, we believe once you pay tithe and all that crap, you can safely close your eyes to the suffering of others, THAT IS THE PROBLEM OF NIGERIA; MORAL BANKRUPTCY. If everybody was as foolish as you, pastors like Rev. King and co would still be operating. |

The fact remain that there are churches in Nigeria who are just doing business and manipulating the people using the Holy Spirit. And they are increasing day by day because most Nigeria do not believe in finding God for themselves. We still see God as being very far. I know about three churches who started because of disagreement in sharing formula.Even Jesus recognized this when he said that not all who call Father Father will see the kingdom. There are a lot of religious people in Nigeria but less morality and less righteousness. |

Rubbish! so why are churches and pastors involving themselves in politics with their so called election predictions? The vice president of Nigeria calls himself a pastor! he should have stayed in his church instead of meddling into politics! why do politcians invite church pastors to do election campaigns for them during elections? the pastor in turn should have refused to involve in election campaigns. |

Instead of those that claim not to be religious should put up the responsibility in creating a change to the society, all they are busy with is just blank theorems with unnecessary arguments . God help Nigeria sha |
